YG would be nothing without Big Bang, and they utterly failed at replicating their success ever since, to the point they have become dependent on recycling the 2NE1 formula instead.

BB made YGE a big3, nobody denies it, but BP surpassed them internationally ever since debut making the gap bigger every new era so YGE kept being a big3 in 3rd gen thanks to BP and they got known way more thanks to BP.
The comparation also doesn't even make sense bc the first top group of a company will always be the one who put the company on map. 
in BB case it was in Asia, but in BP case they made it known ww in a large case.

Not sure if you're serious (I guess not but since there're several people that don't know Seo Taiji and might believe it I feel I've to correct it lol), but to say this is like if Tiffany creates now a music company, the company doesn't find success in like 10 years, suddenly a group of the company blows up, becomes the top group of the moment and makes the company a top 2 company almost by themselves, and then people come saying the company would be nothing without Girls' Generation.

BP absolutely did not surpass Big Bang at debut. How long have you been a K-Pop fan? Peak Big Bang was arguably the most popular group in the world. Don't forget it either.
BLACKPINK ascended using the path that Big Bang paved, and YG would be nothing without Big Bang.

Idk why people act like Se7en was not popular. Even though he was overshadowed by Lee Hyori and Rain, he was actually a pretty successful soloist. Big Mama songs were kinda popular. BigBang were the reason YGE became one of biggest entertainment company but YGE wasn't nugu before them.
No that's not true at all. BigBang were pretty unknown outside of Asia for the most of their careers. They started making some noise after Psy's 'Gangnam Style' by which time One Direction had debuted and had unarguably became the biggest boy group in the world in their debut year itself. One could even argue that 2NE1 was more popular than BigBang outside Asia. And had more possibility of breaking out in the west than them.
Without BP YG would have gone bankrupt since BB basically ceased to exist after 2015 (except for Still Life).
BP was a lot bigger than BB due to their breakthroughs in basically every international market.
It's not to say that YG didn't get to be the company it was when BP debuted without BB though. Without BB, BP would have never made it to debut probably.
