Sub groups are not rookies. Doesn't matter who they are.

I think if they had to re-debut under a different name, company, and members then Yes I would count that as rookie. Rookie in terms of group, not rookie in terms of entertainment experience. A sub group is different, sub group happens while the whole group is active or whole.

I don't think they'd be considered as rookies since fans who knew GG in the past would already be aware of the amount of time they've been in the industry.

I would tend to say "no". For example, if Sohee from Wonder Girls (a Second Generation Group) suddenly decided to have a solo debut, I wouldn't call her a Fifth Generation artist.

That being said, I do recognise that there may be a bit of a grey area in some cases.
