How do people get to know who their bias in a K-Pop group is?

It's been ten years, and I still don't have a bias in Mamamoo. I have a problem.

I don't actually have a bias in NewJeans either.

I knew who is my bias when I started noticing a certain member more.

for me it's always been about the member's personalities (or at least what we see of it on camera) and sometimes you just gravitate towards that member

now if you don't have a bias or "like them all equally" that's fine too no biggie

I watched Sixteen that was streaming live with massively average subtitles and low quality but when Sana did her "what makes you a star" routine, I was hooked. Thankfully for me she made it into TWICE.

The great aspect about Korean (and Japanese) Idols is that you can stan them for their personalitlies so it was a bonus in a later episode when we got "Angry Sana".

While she's not my favorite Vocals, favorite Dancer or favorite Idol Actress, she pretty much pwned be with "Hai"

I look for the member that makes me crave the most filth.

Their eyes. I connect with idols who have large expressive eyes because they're usually not very good at hiding their emotions and their eyes convey what they actually think and feel. That's much more reliable than words.

I think this happens due to a combination of two things: 1) Me being a therapist and always aware of non-verbal communication and 2) Having C-PTSD makes me extremely hypervigilant to non-verbal cues and I'm particularly hyper sensitive to how people communicate with their eyes and the muscles around their eyes.

My biases are Namjoon, Soobin, and K. All three are shit at hiding their feelings and their eyes say everything. So I trust them more and can allow myself to be emotionally attached to them.

I like dance performances. That's the reason I went into the BTS rabbit hole after watching On Kinetic Manifesto. I loved the music and was also awed by their dance moves. After a while, I had to admit that my attention was easily grabbed by the 3J (Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope).

There is always a member or two in a group that just seems to have a special light about them - to you. It isn’t always the most physically attractive or the most talented, it’s just the one you can’t take your eyes off of.

Works the same way in real life.

JK and Lisa were the first idols I discovered to have this energy.

It took me a little time with Jennie but finally she has that vibe in her too
