Does stray kids and Gidle have the best longevity 4th gen?

I agree if we compare to most other groups that debuted between 2018 and 2020

Yes

I love to see these groups being so successful. I imagine how hard they've worked for this giving the fact they have to fill both the demands of an idol career and producing career.
For me (G)I-DLE's longevity is even more impressive, for being a female group and outside Big4. Boygroups are natural slowburners, It's not that hard for them to keep growing through their career. Actually, It's more difficult to see them peaking on rookie moment and then declining year by year.
When It comes to girlgroup, It's completely the opposite. For a long time I thought IDLE's peak would be their debut year with Latata and Hann as follow up. But, fortunately, they proved me wrong.

I don't think
not that they are doing well
but saying that they have the best longevity
Idle is in the same position of Oh my girl for me
they were doing relatively not bad for years until they had their breakout moment with tomboy and finally reach the top
to me i would consider gg like aespa, lesserafim have better longevity even if they are younger than gidle because they have been at the top during their debut and after all these years they are able to maintain their success and still be at the top
they didn't have any moment where their popularity decrease and then repeak
in contrary of idle

G-idle is more like a 3rd gen/3,5 generation groups so I guess the answer is no because they are not 4th generation. But if we talk about late 3rd generations groups it's maybe three groups G-idle, ITZY and Aespa. And because G-idle it's oldes and both ITZY and Aespa kind of struggles a bit today. I guess yes.

(G)I-dle pre-Tomboy were already doing great and way better than Oh My Girl pre-Nonstop on every aspect (korean digital, international digital, album sales, every criteria you can find). It's not even comparable. I don't understand how you can say they were in the same position
Korean digital wise, (G)I-dle were competing with Itzy and Izone, the top 4th gen girl groups at the time. Now they are competing with the new top 4th gen girl groups.
I think it tells a lot about their longevity.

they're indeed a good contender

Izone is gone obviously but yes, the members should belong on this list. They are all starting their 6th year as idols and all are killing it.
Ive and LSRFM. Hitomi and Nako are booked and busy in Japan. Minju and Hyewon are still active actors.
The four soloists all make waves and are financially successful...no other labels are confident enough in their 4th gen idols to debut them solo, meanwhile mah girls have had to put it all on the line despite ZERO Big 4 support.

Tbh the efforts of Idle, Itzy and Izone should not be forgotten. All three groups charted consistently and successfully in their first couple years, every song made it into the top 10 or top 20, that wasnt easy at all, especially since they were fighting for their lives against peak 3rd gen (Twice, BP, BTS, RV) as well as other digimons who were thriving at the time like IU, Chungha, Sunmi, etc.
In some ways, their accomplishments surpassed what the 4.5 generation groups are doing now. The three I groups paved the way wbk.

nah, I purely talk about the disbanded izone.
Because some wizones are still streaming their discography

I agree with G idle considering that they are more late 3rd gen

reminder for people that charts ain't everything
there are also music show things
remember song like Dumdi Dumdi?
it got 6 music show wins
remember Hwaa... it got 10 music show wins
how many groups can actually talk about such results?
Dumdi Dumdi - 6
Hwaa - 10
Tomboy 7
Nxde - 11
Queencard - 12
even earlier Oh My God 'cleared' big music shows - M Countdown, Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo
