i liked it till the sirens hit. Plus i’m a little apprehensive to stupid sounding names and Batter Up is one of them.

Hopefully it’s said/done tastefully.

YG is really gambling here because everyone will have such an high expectation (a 10/10 song) and even if the song is a 7/8 out of 10, it’s not gonna be seen as enough.

I hope they will have their own sound and not just copy blackpink. I guess they want to get some of the blinks while BP status is still in limbo.

I agree they have softer visuals compared to the concept but maybe the contrast might work if they have good rappers.

A bit sceptical... sadly it sounds very much like the last couple of years of BP songs, too heavy with hiphop vibes. I had hoped for a bit more like "early Blackpink" or 2NE1. But it's only a teaser and they can often be very missleading.

I wish it wasnt hip hop but will see how good the song is before I judge.

I'm convinced that the MV they supposedly shot in July really existed and perhaps that's where all the money went. Since they had to reshoot without Ahyeon, the budget probably got cut this bad.

...This is their debut sound? just from the short snippet, it sounds like any other 4th gen (I know their 5th gen) girl crush song. Nothing unique about it. 2ne1's debut was unique, Blackpink's debut was fresh, and babymonster's....well....who knows.

Something that would show their own identity as a group and not a rip-off of previous YG works.

Seeing lack of Teddy in credits I also expected something different - but it sound like something BP would release.

The sporty concept of their teaser literally remind me the Ikon sporty concept for Rythm ta beside one is baseball while the other one is basketball, even the color palette use black/white/ red was the same for both

the part of the song they teased literally sound like something Blackpink would have release after Shut down
