That's a bit of an unfair statement.
Antifragile didn't hit #1 because it was blocked by (G)I-DLE's Nxde, but if you check the charts, it ended up having much better longevity.
Unforgiven actually did hit #1 briefly, before falling just behind aespa, IVE and (G)I-DLE again, with all the groups releasing music in the same general time frame.
That's not "way behind"; it's "just behind".
And if you look at album sales, using Circle, for their most recent comebacks, it's:
LSF: 1,558,821 copies sold
IVE: 1,622,476 copies sold
aespa: 2,139,015 copies sold
Barely behind IVE, and overall, only behind IVE, aespa and NJ.
Also, they actually are backed by Hybe. NewJeans is independently operated by ADOR and Min Heejin--she goes out of her way to make it clear she's responsible for all things related to NewJeans.
LSF was actually the concept and brainchild of Bang Si-Hyuk, so if he were to lend his full support behind a group, it would be LSF.

Yes but Ive cant even get top 10 without special marketing. 125K ULs is weak as pi*s level. I question their physicals too as ultra dodgy. This basically puts them at Stayc and Itzy level, maybe below, as without special marketing they are B Tier.
For sure Baddie will #1, but then its only because of special marketing. And if it does, how does 375K ULs suddenly materialize out of nowhere organically. C'mon Man.
So you can argue whether or not Aespa is in front of LSF or the opposite, but without special marketing NJ, Aespa and Ive are the current top 3 4th gen ggs.

Yeah i think i exaggerated a bit, ive seemed to be so above just a month ago with all the great digital results, sales and potential that i didnt see the full picture.

this year ive has 1.2B digital points overall and lesserafim has 700M, ive still has more overall spotify streams and physical sales without counting too much their current era, plus wonyoung it girl status is a huge bonus so they are actually considerably above. I was taking into account ive had 4 consecutive #1 with some of the songs with more longevity on kcharts too. But its true the difference right now is not as far as i was thinking.

Is it because they sell a lot of albums?
Album sales don't tell you how popular a group actually is.
If they go viral for simple things, if a lot of people know about them, if they have cfs and brand deals and drama appearances and special song releases and people in SK can recognise their faces, THEN they are popular. And ofc, if their songs are played everywhere.
Aespa could've been the No. 2 group if SM managed them better. But they aren't. Just bc they performed at Coachella? Or at Good morning America? All of that is great. But who actually listens to their songs on a daily basis like NewJeans fans do? They aren't trending a lot. NewJeans had a collab with League of Legends. Le Sserafim literally had a collab with Demi Lovato and Rina Sawayama. They made an OST for a Korean animated series, which BTS made one for as well. Eunchae is the Musik Bank MC and is trending everywhere, Chaewon was trending for the dododok mistake. The last time an aespa member went viral was winters fancam at the beginning of 2022.
So yea, the real ranking is like this:
1. NewJeans
2. IVE/Le Sserafim (IVE's comeback will decide if they are above or under Le Sserafim)
3. Aespa -
I don't know for sure.
Album(peak numbers), Aespa is at the top with NJ
Touring Aespa is at the top as well.
The only thing they are lacking is digital results.
