Karina #2 Most search female idol On Youtube in Korea in 2023

It's been her era. Why SM doesn't actually push her is beyond me. Then again, I guess they are making bank with these tours.

Karina has the personality, looks, talent. Sm is really lucky to have her, I hope they treat her well.

1. SM pushed her the most since pre-debut

2. She has a lot of fans in Korean male communities, in addition to fangirls and Chinese fans

3. Some Aespa fans who initially stanned Winter seem to have gone to Karina because her look is more consistent

4. The way she is portrayed has the "main character" feel, so anyone who finds out about Aespa will most likely search her first before other members

SM wouldn't be able to take any girl out there and turn into a Karina. A big company is helpful, but she's higher in that list than some other girls from big companies and who are even more pushed than Karina (well, before Spicy, was any aespa girl properly pushed? They almost didn't appear in variety shows and even their music shows appearances were limited).

Irene wasn't that warm or personable. And she wasn't praised for her body like Karina. But Irene was even more popular than Karina for her generation. So in the end it's just face visual.

People get popular for different reasons. Hwasa was one of the most popular kpop girls and she isn't known for her visuals. Of course visuals helped Karina a lot and she wouldn't be as popular if she wasn't a visual member, but I don't think this alone explains her popularity.

Lets hope she dont end like those poor Exo members.

I've been saying this for months now. All it took was one measly little variety show (Synk Road) and a few TW vids of her interacting with her fans and it became clear...she already had the looks and talent, but her charismatic personality was the final piece of the puzzle. She is the only bonafide challenger to WY for the It Girl crown of Kpop in Korea.
