I understand why they want SM but what they want from JYP? It's make more sense if they want YG especially with their acting department and their roles as distributors but Jyp?

jype prob cost too much, but hitman and jype are best friends and started together, so they prob wont buy out unless jype wants to do other shit

SME stock doubled from the dispute, they went from like 1.4T WON to 2.9T WON and currently sitting at 2.74T and still coming down

JYPE atm is sitting at 2.6T, and if HYBE started buying stock, it would shoot to 3T +

e/ should also add, JYPE has very high op margins, and has been growing for several years, so they have ALOT of foreign investors

It didn't seem like that was their main priority from those SM with HYBE videos. HYBE chooose Weverse over managements rights of SM. From what I know, JYP will the only popular kpop company those artists aren't on that platform (considering SM artists join Weverse). I can see them being more interested in monopolizing the fan platform, than focusing on their acting department.

No but Hybe could try and make JYP give up on BOY STORY and than when Hybe gets BOY STORY they will finally get what they deserve (maybe, unless Hybe would flop them like they did with NU'EST )

If weverse is their goal, then again it makes more sense to choose Yg. They literally can forced the actors and actresses under Yg to open a weverse acc to popularized it among gp. So, it still make more sense for Hybe to acquire Yg than Jyp. If it happens, I can see Jyp coming to that apps by themselves.

Somebody already mentioned it but Bang PD and JYP are friends so I don't see HYBE trying to forcefully acquire JYP just as long as Bang PD still has influence.

Won't happen as long as JYP has power. JYPE is the most solid of all K-entertainment companies, and his grip there is very firm. Maybe in 25 years and Bang is not a young man either.
