- if you are successful, they will treat you well

- if you're less successful they will treat you like shit

Since superlative descriptors like "best" are relative, yes, logic dictates that there is always a best company.

Whether the best company is actually any good is another matter entirely. After all, the "best" medicine during the medieval times was practically superstitious conjecture.

The ones catered to one or few artists they specifically made for are usually less crappy because everybody has same goal and the support team behind the artist tend to work longer than big company’s (i.e edam or antenna)

The cons is they are not financially expansive so they struggle with resources to provide long-term goals and support and ended up bought by bigger company

Depends, the best at what? If it’s about music or artists, it’s possible to have a preference (doesn’t mean you like all of it). A lot goes on behind the scene too (shady stuff or mistakes), so it’s hard to tell who’s the ‘best’
