i can think of an example though "downfall" might be too harsh of a word for the predecessor group

Like a group that directly benefited from the downfall of another?? I really don’t know. I feel like the downfall of a group affects the company and thus the debut of the groups that debut after in said company. I mean look at TWICE and their struggle at the beginning of their career.
