Gidle NJ and ive had the most successful year in Korea.

Even tho NewJeans are indeed having a great debut, I'll still say for 2022, the 2 most successful groups are:

Gidle

And IVE.

Gidle really proving that they are never die, rising back to life even stronger from their scandal, and once again saving cube from oblivion.

Whereas IVE really really bring the eyes upon starship to the point that people now are considering them as kakao's group. People who are back then saying starship are nugu company, or they didn't even know that sistar were coming from starship starts to digging out that company and now acknowledged them in some way (or still belittling them by saying they only hit big because they owned by kakao).

Both group bringing greatest revenue to their company. Even the newly debuted IVE manages to make their seniors feel proud for their achievements too.

Maybe I'll give IVE a +1 point on this because they already become a crucial group for their company this year.

Ive was the biggest act in Korea, nobody came close. New Jeans is a massive threat but they wont dethrone Ive until we see Ditto and OMG have the longevity of every single Ive release.

It's been over 13 months and Eleven is STILL at 36 on Melon Daily.

Love Dive spent 33 weeks in the top 10 and is STILL within striking distance to add to this insane total, 36 weeks is the alltime record.

Afterlike owns the highest peak of any Kpop act (except for Bigbang) this year and is also still in the top 10 after 20 weeks.

BTS and BP’s releases weren’t very impactful domestically relative to those two. Truly the transition year.
