I think what's most impressive about ive till now is they are extremely well balanced in Korea and international. Now obviously we'll have to see after like longevity but the debut everywhere has been solid.

They are till now doing well on both sides. And obviously they got the physicals too

so how do we qualify and weigh these numbers...

let's just take one small example of the whole album sales

do we look at total album sales in which case Aespa obviously outsold Ive

do we look at album sales / no. of releases? in which case it's either Aespa or NJ no?

do we look at monthly album sales? ie. sales per month or per year??? do we look at the revenue generated from such albums (given the existence of digipacks and all that)

and that's just looking at album sales...there's a lot more metrics to go though applying a similar rationale...

what you've said my friend is all true I do not deny their album sales or their impact or their continued growth

my question is if they are behind in Aespa in sales then wouldn't that mean they aren't no 1 in album sales (for the fourth generation)???? and therefore one might make the argument that if they aren't no. 1 in all categories then they might not be no. 1 overall???

again I'm not saying Aespa is no. 1 either I'm merely point out that if one is using an overall metric and based on data and numbers then the numbers for IVE sales are below that of their competitors...

I would also agree that ive has only 2 cb whereas other groups have had more (some have had less) which brings me back to my original point which was how to judge and weigh such numbers

They have everything other 4th gen ggs dont have and company stans still deny it

We look at growth. Ive, different to other top ggs minus Nmixx released only singles so that was a disavantage as most kpop fans dont buy singles. However, this is their sales growth for first day sales

If they keep rising like that their next year will be insane

as an example a group that constantly sells 1m albums would have less growth but isn't that 1m in sales more relevant a group that has growth but hasn't hit 1m?

furthermore given that the OP is referring to current no.1 then couldn't one make the argument that the current no.1 physical album seller be the no. 1 group for albums (since again I'm still merely referring to albums at this point and not other metrics yet)

and it also begs the question of how does IVE compare to their peers...aespa sold 1.6m which (I don't know how much they sold before) so one might again make the argument that aespa has had a bigger growth?

I am not sure lol. aespa also did great. But IVE combined sales in only 9 months with 6 songs total already have reached 1.6M too.

and that is a fair point which I raised in my original post which is do we look at album sales per cb? or some other metric...

Well if we look at it they are pretty much tied with aespa in physicals as both released 6 songs that sold 1.6M this year

i think IVE still missing a spot in sales.

If they prove to be consistent million seller, i think it is easier to view them as top.

Currently aespa still has the biggest sales number so there is no definite #1. And the gap is big too. If the gap is like 1.2mil vs 1.7mil then it is arguable

I won't argue with you. IVE is THAT group.

They have it all. Physicals, digitals, international, Korea, and a whole It girl. No one is touching them currently.
