what type of nepotism are you referring to? From company seniors or parents and familial connections?
Also by best do you mean they succeeded the most or that they got the most advantage by nepotism?
-
maybe gdragon because i read somewhere that he was pushed and favored a lot because his family was loaded or something

Familial connections, succeeded the most

if we are going by the og definition and not what kpop fans call it, I would say Han so hee even though she didn't officially debut.
Anyone else out there would have been in jail the Firet time they did drug or tried to sell. She only went to jail after she broke her probation rule three times.

Somebody said it on forum before that one of the SNSD member was a family member of somebody from SM. I’m so bad with names that I forgot who it was.
Other then that that’s all I know that has connection.

Don’t know too many examples but aren’t usually the nepotism idols amongst the less popular members in their groups?
iKon BI is in part a nepotism idol and he’s was always considered one of the ace members and wrote a national hit. So maybe him.
Woahh he has connections i did not know that
is that why he got his own label so fast even after being dropped from the group

Oh I remembered isnt snsd sunny LSM’s niece
Yes i've heard this one

Depends on where you draw the line. His family is rich but not part of the music industry as far as I know (his dad worked for a bank).
He debuted on his own (was considered the ace of iKon as a trainee) but if you listen to his story of how he got scouted to YG it's clear that his parents pulled some strings for him.

Sunny from SNSD is LSM niece but he wasn't involved in putting her into SNSD.
She trained at another company for years which went bust. Some other SM staff scouted her and transferred her to SM and put her info the SNSD project group. LSM had no idea at the time this happened, he only found out when he saw her training with the rest and by that time they were down to last 12 or so and soon finalizing the line up.

The more you know. Sunny is amazing anyway. She was the only SNSD member I knew back in the days. I was really into variety and she was great in them. I still remember the one where she appeared with Hara. Booo.

hahaha you wish, like he would be waiting for 11 years to debut and cleaning training rooms for years if he had strings to pull, plus changing from SM to YG in the middle. nice try!

Invincible Youth? Yeah that was a great show, at least S1 was. S2 tried to catch lightning again but it didn't work. They should bring back more variety shows like that instead of yearly audition shows

Yesssss.
So true. I watched it so many times, it was one of my fav. Shows like this were so good. I used to hate the one where the hosts make the idols do stupid things or talk like trash to them, but shows like Invincible youth was good.

i noticed most of the unattractive/unpopular members come from rich families. Yookyung from apink got in because her dad paid for the dorms. Money definitely talks
There is also a guy from Wei who despite ranking so low on produce101 and having ZERO singing ability, the company gave him a solo debut. That screams "well connected" imo
