Nah. They’re still getting good results even after eight years together. They’ve had a career I think all of the members can be happy with.
Plus there’s 6 years between their debuts (same as RV and Shinee for comparison) so I doubt they’ve ever felt at competition with each other.
I think its natural for them to feel competition tbh and when you look at it none of the RV members have a solid solo career... Wendy is the only one now with her radio show hosting whilst SM has Seulgi doing every kind off odd job out there. Yeri looks to be more of an influencer these days and Irene, good luck to her lol.

Red velvet is doing very well for a 7 year old group. They are not lacking anything for them to be jealous of their company juniors. Both groups are not making the same kind of music so they aren't in the same lane for competition.

I think it does matter. They have a successful career behind them and know that the market looks different now. Unless they’re bitter over how their own career turned out they would have no reason to be jealous of Aespa.

Some of the Sm rookies girls are close to Yeri and NCT members coz of their similar age range and interactions during trainee time. It seems like debuted idols don't interact with trainees coz Key met aespa on a TV show for the first time. Before that, he had never seen the members and this was after they debuted. I wonder what happened at SM. They already invested so much money and time in those trainees, introduced them through the SM rookies show then they abandoned all of them (except Ning2) just like that.

I know karina still keeps up with ex SM trainees so I can see that SM trainees are close but idk why I had the impression they would also know the already debuted idols lol. But yeah its weird how they just dropped a lot of their trainees.. its like they had another concept planned but when they settled on Kwangya they just chose to start over and pick new trainees that fit their concept

Jealous of what? They got hit and national hits in their career, selling good amount of albums and still selling it well even after 8years. Having a success solo career plus their concept is enough to make other gg jealous.
