Would blackpink be popular if they're not from YGE?

We love how just BP needs the big3 (now big4) privilege!!

you can say their music and concept is from YG

but technically they would have blown up just on visuals alone (note that Im not saying their music is not good, just saying their visuals are out of the world)

Their debut would have been less successful i guess but they still would have blown up yes. Why is that question always about Blackpink tho, the same can be asked for any group from big companies

bp debut 2016 songs were great at listen.

Now 🐻 producer is just old man in the past (2010 sound western songs)

Ive have their own success with quality musical with 23 wins yet this is debut of the careers, we need more content about their comeback

Tbh, I have to admit that Teddy plays a huge part in the formula, tho the girls are special, they're made to reign over the world.

If they still have the skills like they are now I think they can still be popular. Although how they promote might be different.

Give me a more elaborate question. What do you mean by "BLACKPINK"? Their sound and their image (while in the group) are crafted by their company. BLACKPINK would simply not exist if they were not from YGE.

If a small company had debuted the four girls together, I think any scenario could have been possible.

I think it helped them a lot at debut, but that they’d still be big without it, due to their insane visuals, great music, group dynamic/personality and so on. Would they be as big as without debuting with any sort of Big 3/Big 4 privilege? Now that I’m not quite as sure of, and I have no way of knowing for sure.

No probably not the same as most groups from big 3 companies that get big. Being from the big three doesn’t guarantee success so it’s not all on the company but it is a great springboard. I think it’s possible that BP would still be popular but as big as they are I think it is less likely

Most likely. I don't think their debut would have been as big without the YG brand, but they have all they need to get big. That said, there's always the possibility that they could have been mismanaged or never hit their potential if they were from a smaller company.

BP wouldn't be BP as we know without the support staff/Teddy but don't forget YG as a company with it's scandals had also been a drag on them.

Depends how small of a company will they go if too small they wont even be seen. if medium company maybe

they have strong charisma and visuals, so they could hit big with company that has decent management even though it was small company, but if trash company they could be wasted
