SNSD comeback is just another fanservice

I don't see how that's a bad thing

They're way past the point of caring about growing a fanbase since they're not active anymore,it's only logical that they'll be catering to their already existing fandom.

I don't see why that's a bad thing though? It was clear from the beginning, that it's a comeback for their 15th anniversary so surely it's going to be directed mostly to their fans.

Tbh, SNSD are past the time when they had to cather to the general public and work against other groups to stand out. They're an established 15-yo group, they already have the recognition and got together for a long awaited comeback to celebrate their anniversary. So the song and the MV very much fit that.

It's not that this means they will be "back in the game", competing against other groups for the fame. This comeback was never meant that way, as the members already established their solo careers. They didn't have to comeback but I think they did it for us, hence the fanservice

and thats how it should be. They dont need to prove anything to anyone. They are at the point of their career in which they can only focus on us, Sones

Tbh, pretty much anything SNSD does as a group at this point is mostly fanservice for the SONEs and I honestly don't think they care too much about getting support from the GP. The girls are all successful in their own paths, considered legends and have nothing left to prove really. That being said, I'm pretty sure their comeback will be a success

Then it is purely a commemorative release for their 15th anniversary, and that will be targeted to the SONEs, hence the song referencing a lot of nostalgia.

Public who is unaware of their history, is secondary. If they enjoy the song, then fine, it is bonus. But not the primary intention.

isn't it a celebration of their 15th anniversary of course it will be a fan service song. It will be bad if they came back with a Kwanga esque song

I appreciate this comeback, they are 30 year old successful women so they don’t need to compete directly with the 4th genereation

And i can listen to the title track, something that in the last year was difficult for my old ears with sm groups

It's their best or at the very least their second best song though. Even if just fanservice, it was worth it.

They even do many variety and youtube content for this comeback... If you compare it with the 10th year... this comeback is way better
