What i'm curious about is how he did on the Hot 100 with Arson and More? Did he outchart the other BTS soloists with a fully promoted comeback? What about the BP soloists? This could give us a better understanding of how other BTS soloists will place.

he did amazing internationally but didn’t hit the mark on his local Korean charts. that’s probably due to the genre of the song but also because bts is mostly known as the brand bts. not many members are known by name to the public because their complete lack of solo activity/cfs and variety show starring etc.

but now with v’s soop thing, and all the premiers they’re attending etc will get them out there not as bts but as themselves. im excited because i’ve heard rumors of v or jin going into acting and that’s literally all I’ve wanted im just happy bighit is letting them go solo because they need their own identity outside of being a member of bts. they’ve achieved more than all kpop artists combined so it’s time for them to shine on their own

It’s funny to see some stans of faves who do so badly in k charts cry about it on akp for days to come after jhope… when he did amazing internationally and had many firsts for a kpop artist and yet he is a flop and their faves did well. Some people really can’t keep their mouths off people they claim not to stan, and usually play the victim in akp.

Didn't he have some weird album release? Like only on Weverse and only PCs or something?

I think a lot of people would love to “flop” like that. He put out an idiosyncratic rap album in mostly Korean rather than the soft English pop the group has been doing lately. He is one of the less popular members of the group. And yet he’s still charting in the Hot 100. He’s doing great.

I would like to see other kpop groups to release an album same as jack in the box. Not exactly or even just a little bit identical to the concept or sounds. Lets see lol the audacity to call J-Hope flop.

What is funny is that despite having a VIP album listening party filled with celebs and being the member of the most popular boy group in the world atm, he didn't even chart top 80 in melon. But I guess its a consolation that he did better internationally or it would have been too embarrassing. All those armies that said that them not going on Korean tv and getting themselves known was the right call can now see that the fact that none if them has an impact in their home country without the bts tag was the price they paid for their lack of Korean activities. Like its impossible to believe that Korea didn't even know a bts member debutted solo .
