IVE in August bloodbath, is it a good strategy?

    PersonallyI will still be buying their new albums but I think the comeback timing is a bit at disadvantage, given:

    -Love Dive is still going strong on charts

    -Dives are still recovering from Love Dive era

    -many big name in August: Twice, BP, SNSD, IU

    -New Jeans debut which already is one the most hyped debut


    Very wise of the C bars to join force and release statement that they wont be competing with each other. This basically prelude that the sales growth wont be exponential like aespa experienced. Setting expectation right

    It's kinda okay I guess.


    Now the big factor in here is what kind of song that starship would give it to them, that makes SSE feel confidence to join this royal rumble against big names.


    Like I said before, they wanted to test the water. If they hit big, then it would be a blessing and they will become really strong.
    If not then yeah, they still had another chance and they will know how far their power gap is.


    But yeah, SSE picking comeback in late August when in that period there are a 2 birthday project from the cbars... is kinda...
    (luckily the cbars could reach a peaceful agreement tho)


    Yes, I’m so glad that Annyeongz bars are cooperating. It’d be really sad if they didn’t, too, because for a long time, Annyeongz stans only had each other with akgaes in IZ*ONE hating on them.


    On top of that, they had to suffer a lot because WIZ*ONEs blamed SSE, thus Annyeongz for the disbandment. Therefore I think it’s important that the fans are sticking together

    yea I'm glad that they too could realize that they will be stronger if they are working together with everyone.

    I'm going to say the same thing I said back when Aespa comeback at the same time as BTS and IU.


    I personally think it's a great move. Many eyes will be on kpop - fans of BP, Twice, SNSD. There's so much exposure for Ive here. If they can capture a fraction of fans from those groups who take an interest in them it's worth it.


    They are still a young and growing group, it's not a flop if they don't hit number 1 every single comeback or break album sales records every time.

    It's a great strategy just to even get involved. It's good promotion for them even if they don't do well in comparison to the other acts. Gotta think longterm. All of this is collaborative at the end of the day.


    Think about it. Just the fact that we're even thinking of them means we'll likely check out their comeback.

    They will get extra attention due to coming back around those groups.


    Big bang coming back bought a whole bunch of listeners back to Melon. All these girl groups coming back in a short amount of time will do the same in areas more than just Melon.

    We're on the same wavelength. Honestly, I think smaller companies should be using this to their advantage. They've got nothing to lose. Just "compete" even if there's no chance of getting the top spot. It brings attention to the group and benefits them in the long run. Plus, it comes across as a bold move, sending a powerful message.

    yep I seen some comment on love dive mv in youtube that some vip actually finds the song is good and they got interested in the group because they comeback at the same time ^^^^

    while i agree with u, i am anticipating the threads dragging IVE when they dont perform as good (though i really hope they do well cause their songs are all bops so far including B sides)

    If they do well or even better than one of these popular girls, they will get more recognition ( and buzz)

    Otherwise it's ok because they're just rookie....... no one is really going to judge them


    And I think it's even the best strategy to prove that they can stand next to a big group

    Ahh, yeah it will happen no doubt. There are people that can't be happy for others. Every truly successful group has gone through it. I think they will still do well. Will they break records? Who knows, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do too.

    Same, I'm also a bit anxious. But at the same time I also just want to enjoy this comeback. And reading from the other comments I think they will be fine whether they will do great or not.


    Either way I just want to enjoy music, I really can't wait what they will do with Narcissus trilogy. And will it be summer theme? Will Rei or Gaeul rap in tt? Will Liz do high note?

    I just hope SSE will give us more than one bside this time 😌
