What group is hard for you to stan?

Yep, essentially the company has to be able to prove that your time invested in the group will not be wasted, they need to be able to convince fans there is group security.

Fortunately for Big4 groups, their very name implies security which is why Big4 companies have such an easy (easier?) time finding success with their group. Produce companies have big financial backing and a large audience reach and it essentially acts as insurance.

But just some small company? Chances are they won't be successful with their group no matter how much visuals there are, how much talent, etc. The only way small companies can make it big is through consistency and perseverance. Some companies stick with a group even if theyre not successful and if they have a history of doing that, fans at the very least know the group will be around even if they're not hitting it big.

aespa, i like some of their songs, but don't really like the ae-stuff and not interested in their performances or most of the rap

4th gen grps with the exception of (G)I-DLE & aespa. I like ITZY, IVE, LE SSERAFIM and LOONA but not as much as the first two. The first few seconds of Flip That made me close the MV at the speed of light (Eleven, Love Dive and Fearless are bangers tho), and it's been a long time since I stopped checking for Cherry Bullet, EVERGLOW & Weeekly.

Hell, maybe include almost every 2nd & 3rd gen gg even tho I prefer them WAY over bgs:

I've listened to full discographies of some well-known ggs and the only ones I don't vibe with at all are BP & MMM (but I like almost every TT of theirs and a few bsides here and there).

RV I like more but some RV bsides made me stop from checking their latest releases out. (Funny, they were the very first GG I stanned.) Same with GFRIEND & CLC + they disbanded already.

I like AOA, but that scandal with Jimin and Mina + more and more members leaving + the fact that they haven't released music as a trio for those reasons made me kinda meh about them as of now.

I like EXID too, but they've been on hiatus until just the day before yesterday (they announced they'll return to hold their JPN tour).

The ones that come close are TWICE and OMG but I'm more of a casual fan for Twice, and only keep up with OMG's music releases and that's it.

As for 2nd gen ggs, I've liked some Sistar, f(x), Girl's Day (along with a few bsides from fx & GSD), T-ARA, KARA, Secret, 4Minute & miss A tts. (Funny, Girl's Day were the very first kpop GG I liked).

The ones that come close are SNSD. I like almost every song of theirs, but for pretty much almost every member except Taeyeon and more less Tiffany, I'm more of a casual fan than an actual Sone + Jessica was my bias back in 2014 and we all know what happened and it was never the same again even tho I loved their two latest albums (and I'm anticipating the one that's coming too).

Pretty much the only GG that I stan is Apink. Two members left, but they're in good terms with each other, and as far as I know, they were the only 2nd gen GG that were consistently active in the era of 3rd and now 4th gen ggs, and that alone is amazing and made me admire and respect them a lot + they've been releasing nothing but bops since 2011.

Sorry for how long it is, I'm sure you expected a simple answer.

I have a distaste towards hearing certain music embellishments and if a group is super mainstream they tend to be followers of annoying music trends, i.e. "rap", weird breakdowns, shrill voices, and etc.

Also, gender norms are starting to really bother me in k-pop. I can't quite pinpoint specific groups, but those that have concepts upholding a strict binary annoy me.

WayV. I love them but it’s so frustrating watching them have to stand by and wait during the crucial part of their career. They even built sub-units out of the group that could been utilized during this time and still nothing. I think this is only going to get worse once the newest shiny debuts and puts them even further down the level of importance.

Posting the NCT updates only highlights how the bare minimum is done for WayV. Winwin’s studio partnership (ie not SM) posts content EVERY DAY. Meanwhile WayV channels can go months without an update.
