my thoughts on bts festa announcement and all the uncertainty in fandom

I don't understand this overreaction. BTS clearly stated they werent disbanding and were only going on hiatus when it comes to making music as group together.

Y'all Armys are damn lucky. Your faves are still together, still gonna be shooting content together and still be making music together eventually. You've had 9 long glorious years, countless thousands of fanservice and music videos, hundreds of songs, thousands of concerts/live performance footage. You've basked in the hype and accomplishments of the most successful global boyband of all time.

Imagine instead if BTS had announced that they would be disbanding three days before the Festa concert. Imagine being told that would be their last official activity and they would disband a month later for good. Final. Irrevocable. You wouldve definitely learnt the true meaning of pain then.

I agree, it would have been better if Hybe had released a clear statement before putting up the festa video. That way at least less people would have misinterpreted or exaggerated the situation. I remember when I read about everything yesterday here and on twitter, I was lost and upset about everything, but then I watched the video and realized how everything they said was spread in such exaggeration. Its sad that RM was blaming himself for being honest, they expressed their heart out in the festa but it turned into a messy situation for all.

Tbh BTS won't be back making/releasing music or touring as a group for a long time unless they enlist in 2 batches or something, army are allowed to feel whatever

i dont agree with hearing from hybe first. I am glad i heard BTS personal thoughts from BTS themselves and not from a 4 sentence post from hybe on weverse.

Nah, I way preferred hearing it from them. But Hybe could have released a statement more quickly if they wanted to clarify.

If only people would hold off on reacting until they check the source for themselves. That's what I did. I just reminded myself to not jump to conclusions or believe things without question and waited until i could see for myself. I couldn't watch it until late yesterday evening.

The news should've come from BTS, not Hybe, so I agree with how they did it. If People had just watched the video before bashing away at their keyboards, it wouldn't have been a problem.

I completely disagree that this information should have come from a company press release. The guys said what needed to be said and they said it sincerely and clearly. I don't think the company thought they would have to make a statement, but people don't listen.

Well that dinner party was not live, so the label already know what the boys said and approved. In addition, I remember there was a special clause for BTS that say Hybe can’t really control their artistic direction, only Bighit (I’m rephrasing of course). So Hybe can’t really control them too much in that sense.

Oh and I love that BTS tell us first. Who cares about others jumping to conclusion? Remember when BTS was taking a few months break and it was the label who released the clear statement, but people (especially western media at that time) were also saying BTS are going to break up. People will sensationalise what they want to sensationalise lol

I wish fans would stop all the gloom. They are only taking a break, not going to the other side of the moon. They will be back and as the song says - The best is Yet to Come. People need to chill and just be grateful with what they've given us for 9 years and stop expecting more. Personally, I'm happy with the anthology album and let the guys focus on themselves for a change.
