JYP is the only company atm who ran out of creative ideas

    I noticed a few things:

    - nayeons solo sounds so generic and basic based on a snippet that i heard. Like if you wanna give your idol a solo then build hype and don't reveal like 8/10 of the contents already. And if you reveal something then please reveal something that is worth giving your attention. I heard from so many people and i include myself that pop sounds like the 3Bs - boring, bland and bad.

    The teaser photos .... no comment on that like they look cute and all but thats it - nothing new or it just doesn't build hype

    Jyp needs to work and bring new ideas on how to building hype and making the contents inluding photos, teasers quality wise more suffitient


    - itzys cb ngl is getting shadowed by aespas desspite releasing teaser photos and teaser video. But let me tell you the photos look also boring like ok i got it they look good and all but again taht's it. I remember seeing hylt teaser photos, aespas savage teaser photos, ive love dive teaser photos who got me wowed. Like i know they will bring out new photos but i predict and expect the same results - boring theme with good visuals

    Again, why do they reveal like 8/10 pre cb content already?? Like it got a plan when to look at itzys ig account instead of going there every 5 seconds waiting for a photo. And moreover i knpw how they'll look like because itzy teaser photos have the same theme (background with a member photo) for the last 2 cbs. They really should starr thinking about new ideas on how to keep things interestibg. Unless they want it that way but it's just stupid imo


    - same goes for twice like scientist and i got the feel (?) were basically the same song - even the mv and looks.

    There is basically nothing exciting in wanting a twice cb. Don't come up to me like "blackpink bring out d4 every year" like yeah there is still quality in creating the cb, mv, the content but what hyl, ktl and d4 had in common was the structure of the song not the theme or sound or looks. Even then lovesick girls was a 180° - something new for blackpink


    - nmixy is a replica of another gg just saying with no member standing out until now

    Changed the title of the thread from “Is JYP the only company atm who ran out of creative ideas?” to “JYP is the only company atm who ran out of creative ideas”.

    Twice’s concepts is girl next door, they don’t have to do these expensive concept, simple suits them. BP ≠ twice the most opposed GG, BP’s concept is rich vibe. I mean if you aren’t happy that’s on you lol personally I love nayeon’s teasers, this is what I expected from her. I expected a cute summer pop from her, that’s twice are known for. Still not sure about the title tracks

    but the b-side seem promising.


    As for Itzy this is a concept film, not a teasers pics and I do think this is their best teasers since guess who day versions.

    I don’t know how aespa or Ive has to do with Itzy, ITZY is Itzy JYP doesn’t have to do something to beat aespa or whatever you want lol.

    JYPE is one of the worst companies when it comes to building hype so i'm not even surprised at how they spoiled nayeons solo a whole month before it came out

    AKMU being the only good example, JYPE suck but at least all their artists have a distinctive sound. At least for twice it doesn’t work always, but they still try do different things each cb.

    YG has been doing the same shit for the past ten years, nothing ambiguous, just take some inspo from western artists and the current trends and call it a day

    JYP has absolutely nothing on this side and even if the artists of JYP want to tend towards that or have ambition it is the company itself that blocks them. Just look at what the members of GOT7 have been producing since leaving the agency, ambition and creativity are far away from what JYP does, we understand why they didn't want to extend their contract. ^^

    The company lacks in the marketing aspect


    Just look at Twice's schedule in the past few years


    It's always

    Japanese album made of old korean tt translated in japanese in the beggining of the year

    They announce another japanese comeback like 4 months ahead

    Like everyone expected, they comeback during the summer before the japanese album

    Then they have another korean comeback around fall

    Finally, they have another japanese comeback, usually a single


    Thats been their schedule for two consecutive years


    There is absolutely nothing new, just good visual, good songs but nothing different

    This is fine for you to feel that way. JYP groups just might not be for you and that’s cool.


    I would like to point out that we really only got the Pop snippet from Nayeon and the recent Felix x Nayeon song. Now I personally don’t think it sounds bland but what you might consider bland I could not and vice Versa so it’s all good.


    I don’t think we really need to compare ITZY and Aespa. I don’t always get the need to constant put groups against eachother to put one or the other down. Both groups are very successful and appeal to their own audiences.


    Nmixx has one song I think we can chill on talking about them.


    As for Twice, while I agree Scientist isn’t that memorable it also wasn’t bad. And the whole album was fantastic and I can see the girls growing as artists in their participation in Music


    But yeah maybe just don’t really listen to JYP groups anymore if they don’t interest you. I don’t really follow Hybe groups excluding BTS for similar reason, they are just boring to me. Though their new GG with Sakura has me interested.

    But if you are looking to specifically (and objectively) criticise Twice musical output like what you are doing right now, then to counter your argument, Twice has the most critically aclaimed album of any kpop girl group. The Feels is well received by fans and achievement-wise, it speaks for itself


    How about Nayeon, Itzy, etc? I dont know, we shall see what they can offer this year before we are jumping into conclusion

    I can only speak for Twice since they’re the only group I stan. I think it’s obvious JYP has no idea what they’re doing with Twice anymore, before 2020 they were doing a good job of gradually maturing Twice’s sound while doing different concepts, promoting them well and keeping their popularity but once COVID happened it’s like that all was thrown out the window.


    I disagree with the Nayeon opinion, as I personally love what I’ve heard so far.


    I hope for their comeback they bring in a powerhouse song and concept like What is Love or Feel Special, something that’s distinct with a unique concept yet still Twice.
