who are we suppossed to believe ? even the actress hasn't come out to say anything

so the soojin accusation is all she said she did

I feel that if you wanna accuse someone, grab some balls and say it.
Don't hide behind an anonymous name or write shady half-ass stories. You openly tried to tarnish someone else name (whether real or fake) you should be putting yourself in front to fight for what you think is right, not hide behind a phone/computer screen

But if they come out and reveal themselves, even if its true, they can get sued for defamation since its still criminalised in Korea.
Its why even when that stylist revealed stuff about Irene she never fully said it, just left loads of clues to let people realise who it was just in case SM decided to sue her.
-
Seems like that actress is intentionally being silent and vague just to make rumors and random accusations against soojin grow up even more so that she would continue to receive more and more hate. Really pathetic, if their is really something between that actress and soojin then that actress should clearly come forward and just openly say what it is instead of just being a vague dramatic bitch.

yet but there is no concrete evidence and in soojin's letter , she denied everything so idk who to believe

If accusations are true then you can't be sued for defamation, don't post your senseless logic.

You stay neutral until we get more parts of the story. None of us were there so we can't for sure say that either story is true or not. The accuser has said they will reveal more so I'm waiting to see if what they say contradicts Soojin's statement.
^this
just wait till the person comes out with more info then come to your own conclusion

From the looks of it even facts can net you 2 years

And if it does? So what? There's obviously already contradictions given Soojin denied 90% of the accusations. That's still a she said/she said.

Its Korea not America it is true and we have this exact same argument every single time something happens. https://www.article19.org/reso…en-freedom-of-expression/

No it can't, defamation only occurs when you accuse someone of doing some crime which they didn't do.

That article clearly says its about “false factual statements”

Just wait with an open mind. Eventually either other people who went to school with her will come out and defend her, (or confirm) or cube will mention something about criminal sanctions. But with the current climate from the twins situation, answers are gonna come out sooner than later.

Individuals who defame others by “publicly alleging facts” face up to three years’ imprisonment.
Not everywhere is as nice legally as you'd think

The first line goes 'ARTICLE 19 calls on the Republic of Korea to prioritise the repeal of criminal defamation provisions, including those that criminalise the dissemination of true statements'
and literally the next line after the one you quoted goes ' However, truthful statements can also lead to criminal liability. Individuals who defame others by “publicly alleging facts” face up to three years’ imprisonment. In these cases, the defence of truth is only available to defendants who can demonstrate that their communications were made “solely for the public interest.”'

Even then that actress can just come forward and publicly tell everyone what actually happened without putting any accusations
-
The actress is lost in life
Well lucky this is fake
-
Don't forget as well (as we learned from the award shows and the amount of idols out in the cold vs actors in dressing rooms) actors are considered socially above being an idol. So arguably she is risking her career by getting herself involved in this mess. But likely she couldn't escape it anyways since she was known to have gone to the same school as soojin
-

but how easy is it to use that defence? To say, its in the public interest to know so and so is a bully....well why? they are a singers, not a politicians or newscasters who's image and impartiality would be called into question. Not saying she couldn't but to do so would mean she would have to prove that she wasn't doing it for revenge of any sort and its kinda hard to believe. Theres no real reason why (if the accusations are true) this would be in the publics best interest to know.
Even the situation with trump and that justice in America, though thier character was called into question as a key indicator if they were fit for office, yet they still had many people defending them using the excuse of them wanting revenge or it being a democratic lie to bring trouble. How much harder do you think it would be on an actress going up against and idol?
