I would say their ads are normal but they have a lot of playlisting more than every other big group
BP & Red velvet are the only sort of relevant gg not using ads, stans of all other groups can't even talk on the matter so yep, it is funny ive are singled out
maybe because they get too many ads more than usual
Interesting, this tells me something but at the same time, it doesn't. Where are all the numbers and charts nerds at?

the playlisting thing isnt even true. they have a very normal level of spotify playlisting according to chartmetric
Playlist reach
ITZY: 15M
IVE: 22.5M
GI-DLE: 25.4M
Red Velvet: 27.6M
Twice: 32M
Blackpink: 51.5M
BTS: 275M
Lmao, you must be a december 2021 kpopie or smth, the use of ads has been a shit since 2018, back then armys and blinks used to fight about ads in their views and then in 2019 twice got humiliated for going of 41m to 13m in just 24 hours when they released fs after fancy. Every top groups got called out for ads except for BP since they never got a huge decrease until LSG which was due fandom fatigue. Even recently mys and midzys had a feud because aespa views are like 80% ads in the first week. Stop this delusion, your lil girls aren't the main character just another top group getting dragged by any hair antis can grab, like they do with everyone else

Ah, and here it is. The information I was looking for. Seems it's true about the jealousy of big 3 group stans. just saying whatever they can to discredit IVE. Interesting indeed.

Got everything out of your system? Good. Now take a deep breath with me and just ride the wave.
the CL sneak, please all of 2ne1 careers are flops, blinks have hit tweets with more likes than all of their album sales, as a group or as a soloist. Hyolyn eat them with the relevance at least in SK
Sis Sistar literally FUNDED STARSHIP unlike snsd that did ride on boa tvxq suju hype train and 2ne1 on bigbang.... do you understand the stupid ass comparison you tried to make.. nowadays all starship groups sell above 100k and ive charts in japan without singing japanese they can thank sistar for that :)

I wouldn't say 'normal': for a group that just debuted with only 4 songs they have as much playlisting as other groups that debuted 3+ years ago and that have dozens to hundreds of songs.
Compare for example with ITZY and GI-dle, 2 of the strongest 4th gen groups in Spotify, yet barely debuted IVE equals or surpass them in playlisting with only 4 songs.
Same with their youtube views vs likes: if Starship are prepared to give IVE an extra push with yt ads, then it should come as no surprise they have the same thought when it comes to Spotify promotion.
Don't get me wrong: I think there's nothing wrong with that, I see it as companies doing their job to promote them and bring them to the attention of a larger public.
But if people say it's all natural with no company effort involved while all signs say otherwise, then to me people are either naive or willingly put blinders on.
And no, of course Starship and IVE aren't the only ones where this happens, that a company invests extra in promotion via Spotify or youtube or other means (let's not forget there's also other means and other media where a debut or comeback can be promoted extra).
This was already discussed in a number of other threads, but if you were looking for that info, here's some of those threads

Stupid comparison where? Your whole paragraph is not related to my post. Funding starship doesn't mean a group can't sell albums or tour. It's true that except hits sistar wasn't much. Ive got their album sales because of their merit not sistar.
Volume of ads? Maybe. I will compare with groups and MV I know for a fact had ads since I saw these ones. Let's see how their views stacks up.
These are their legitimate non ad views based on 3 weeks of YT updates(since that's all LD has so far).
Love Dive= 14.31m.
The Feels= 62.4m.
Savage= 43.49m.
Loco= 34.93m.
Maniac= 33.71m.
Tomboy= 29.81m.
Glitch Mode= 17.5m .
Thank You(Brave Girls=Failed to chart for a single week-5m views.
As you can see their performance is pretty dismal, about in line with NCT and now go up to an NCTzen and tell them their faves don't get stick for using ads and watch them slap you.
It's in fact worse though for IVE since they posted a higher first week Spotify than all of those songs but, afaik, The Feels and Maniac.
You see they have a stupid and unbelievable gap between streaming services and views as well as digital sales. They are actually performing very poor in those area's while smashing in streaming.
you're the one spreading false info. on april 12th (1 week after love dive release) IVE had a spotify playlist reach of 19M so it has only slightly risen since then. it was never 41M as you claim
proof is in this other thread where i listed their playlist reach on april 12th.

doesn't really matter that other groups have more songs its mostly only the title tracks that get added to playlists and mostly just the recent ones. chartmetric also shows playlist reach for individual songs and love dive has 20M which again is a normal/low amount.
for comparison
the feels still has 13M
tomboy: 15M
feel my rhythm: 18M
money: 76M
my universe: 160M
Not the only one, that's bullshit plenty of kpop groups had their "they are using too much ads" moment.
Since so many of you seem to miss the point, I guess I will properly address this, although if you guys took a second to actually think, it might have been obvious.
The title of the thread is relative to IVE. Recently, when it comes to IVE many people whether you realize it or not, have been labeling their success as "artificial" or "inorganic" in order to downplay whatever achievements they have. When they do so, they do not go "well, they only achieved that because they use YouTube ads and playlisting just like Itzy, Aespa, or NCT. 4th Gen groups sales are all artificial." Instead, they neglect to mention other groups when speaking about ads and playlistings in relation to IVE, thus the "singled out".
The title of this thread was made purposely made inflammatory. Of course I don't think IVE in the history of Kpop are the only ones to have ever been called out for ads or playlisting usuage.
The point of this thread is simply a means to an end.
What I want is just a space for the haters of IVE to explain their logic with actual numbers comparing them to their peers, which they never seemed to do when speaking about the topic, and for IVE stans to provide their counter-argument.
At the end of the day, I just want to leave this thread more informed since I'm not good at searching u the information all on my own.
So just sit back and relax, will you?

Because the other groups didn't have such massive discrepancy between their YouTube real steams and spotify streams. Kpop groups do way better on youtube. Ive unable to get interactions and real views led to this. If this was a big three group some of you wouldn't have been so sympathetic.

Once again Dive lying and people eating it up. I'm sure it would just be so so unbelievable right? For IVE to have a ridiculously high 40+ million playlisting reach eh?
Well I'm sure at one point they were at 19.7m plr, as much as I'm also sure they peaked at above 40m. But unlike you I don't need to be sure because I have proof for my claim.
Mods please approve this comment so the lies can stop. As you can see evidently below, IVE peaked at 24m plr. Next.
