Taeyeon looked physically very young at debut but the difference is Tae wasnt styled to look older, she was matched with something age appropriate and very little to no make up and it worked very well.

She probably gets picked on more because she frankly looks very young and giving the predator and pedophile culture/male gaze that can go on within the industry or fans, it's an open door for this "culture" to continue
I do think too that the concept of my teenage girl is really off. You can form young ggs and not be creepy but this industry is too shady and problematic for that.

Anyway, Riwon's case is an issue ever since she got selected as a member. Even though she's nowhere near the maknae position, she's the most baby like. So she contributes to make the group look even younger, and they for sure don't need to look younger than they already are.
If you lined the Girls up by Age (7 of them), Riwon is actually right in the Middle, not one of the Maknaes
