We often talk about K-pop positions, but I feel like there is an unspoken position — the networker, publicist, or public relations specialist. This position is extremely underrated, as it provides the idol-to-idol or group-to-group interactions fans crave. In some cases, it leads to collaborations.
A good example in recent times would be Somi, who has promoted her songs "DUMB DUMB" and "XOXO" by doing the dance challenges with other big names in the industry.
When it comes to groups, I think Miyeon of (G)I-DLE and Yeri of Red Velvet fill this role very well.
Miyeon has her MC job, using it very well to connect with other idols. Recently, she's been doing the "TOMBOY" dance challenge with a number of idols.
Yeri had her own show at one point, hosting guests such as Twice's Nayeon. She is also beloved among other SM artists and has appeared on Jennie's IG live. She's a huge Ariana Grande stan and even got Ari to follow her.
