That's called having a style. Everyone has a style. You might not have noticed this but Suga has a style, Jungkook has a style, J-Hope also has a style he prefers. Even legendary producer Quincy Jones has a style. So it shouldn't be a surprise for Taehyung to have a style. That's common. Every composer and producer prefers a sound and like to establish themselves with that sound. But you cannot say he lacks flavour as a composer. He has also composed songs like 'Hold Me Tight', 'Boyz with Fun', 'Run', 'Inner Child'. So how can you even say that?

I think it's his style... his musical influence leans to jazz/blues. In BTS, they explored into so many type of songs, so its not surprising to see how his personal interest likens to his music style! It may not be for all, but I like that he keeps pursuing HIS music on his personal preference.

I don't think they do at all. Stigma, Singularity, Sweet Night... none of these are remotely similar.

They all have a flavour that is unique to Tae, but sonically they definitely don't sound the same. His mixtape is gonna be amazing.

I think I get your point. The ones you mentioned all have a similar style to them. That's just his preference though. You don't have to like it or say it doesn't have flavour lol. I think he likes that sort of old school jazzy sound and he incorporates that in his song writing. Artists grow and change and so do their music tastes and styles.

On Stigma and Singularity he co-wrote. So it makes sense that the ones he wrote are different.

It's just his style. All members who do their own work have their own style. Of course, you don't have to like it, but you can be sure that there are many people who do. Also, I don't see any harm in singing in English. Maybe he feels more comfortable in English because he listens to English jazz songs mostly. I think Taehyung has to be the one who sings the most in English out of all the members.

He has a style that's unique to him and I love that for him.

He has developed his own sound and vibes what more can you want from an artist.

Like if you know Adele is coming your gonna get ballads and tears. If Tae is coming your gonna get Jazzy and sultry.

4 o'clock and Winter Bear are way too similar and slow for me, that's the only point of yours that I agree with.

Scenery is easily my favorite song of his.

I'm definitely gonna listen to his mixtape to support him, but I know Tae's music style (more folk/blues influence) is generally not for me and that's ok. Maybe I'll end surprised by the direction he goes (I hope it's more jazz), but I'll never know unless I give it a chance.

You’re entitled to your opinion. Most composers do have preferences for their own songs and the genre they belong in. Even people like Teddy have a well known style that’s pretty infamous at this point. It’s up to you if you vibe with it or not
