Jenn's Nugudom #1 - AWEEK

So I love xoxoshawol's idea of this

because most who know me KNOW i am into a ton of groups, mostly nugu's!

so I'm here to introduce you all to new music! you MAY

have heard of some of these groups and you may not have!

at the end of the day I hope you find a new group to enjoy or even a new song!

So per the recommendation of my dear friend MissB i'm doing to do this as a series

and since Aweek is first on my list i will start with them!

so a bit about Aweek:

AWEEK (Korean: 어위크; Japanese: アウィーク) is a five-member boy group under Illusion Entertainment and Oneworld Entertainment. Originally with six members, they held pre-debut activities in Japan in 2018 before officially debuting on January 31, 2019 with the digital single "The More I See".

The group's motto is "A week goes by quickly. However, a week is repeated."

History:

2018: Pre-debut

On April 22, 2018, AWEEK's Japanese Instagram account was open introducing the group with individual profile photos, along with their birthday, height, weight, and blood type. The six members to be introduced were Di1e, Chawon, Ilkwon Hyeon, Aiden, and Yongjin.

2019: Debut with "The More I See" and The Birth Of Seven

On January 31, 2019, they made their debut with the digital single "The More I See".

On November 19, they released their first mini album The Birth Of Seven.

2020-2021: "Better Today" and departures of Hyeon and Yongjin

On June 16, 2020, they released their first single album, which was mislabeled as their second, titled "Better Today".

On March 7, 2021, they announced that they would be holding a white day online livestream on March 13 and 14. On March 28, they revealed that they would be holding a promotional online live on April 4.

On April 10, they announced that tickets for their online fansign event, set for April 18, will be on sale on April 11. On May 21, they announced a promotional online live for May 29.

On June 20, it was revealed that they would be holding a promotional online live and talk event for June 27. On July 8, they announced that they would be hosting another promotional online live and talk event on July 10.

On August 21, Illusion Entertainment posted a statement to their fancafe elaborating how Hyeon and Yongjin, who were previously inactive due to personal reasons, will now be departing from the group. The group will continue as a five-member group.

On September 15, it was announced that they would be holding an online talk event on September 26. On October 13, it was announced that they would be holding another online talk event on Halloween.

2022: PocketDol

On February 25, 2022, AWEEK joined the platform PocketDols.

for example, onlyoneof is one of the nugus i follow and their activity online is strong. they do livestreams frequently, the members always post pictures on ig and they interact a lot with fans. sadly i don't know korean to also try any communication, but it's cool to have such active idols despite the small fandom.

Yissss I agree it at least keeps the group in peopels mind like noir hasn't done shit in 2 years but they post all the time on instagram

Oooh, I liked both Under the Light and Breathe quite a bit. I don't like cute concepts, so I didn't really give the other song a chance, cuz my internet is being a cow right now and was making me watch in 480p. Urgh. I did like how it sounded live before I turned it off. Hey, that one orange-y hair guy has eyes like Doyoung... or at least I think he does. Again, it was 480p. I can't seem to identify him from the pics though, so maybe he doesn't lol.

I believe that's Jingyu, he's the only member who had reddish/orangeish hair if i'm not mistaken!

Yongjin joined MegaMax, whom i remember debuting and I did not like them (sorry Yongjin)

and Hyeon seems to have disappeared off the radar. i can't find any updates on him. just that they were on hiatus for personal reasons and then left the group.

ooh I really like Breathe! I like that their voices are mostly lower than your normal boy group. You get so used to waiting for the falsetto or head voice in a boy group song, and while they had those moments, they didn't live there like some groups do, it really makes them sound unique.

Breathe is just amazing omg. I wish they would make more music a;djfas;lfksdjaf;sad i don't know what they are doing lol drives me insane! hopefully working on something!
