Was 2015 the best year and golden era for SM?

    2015 was without doubt a perfect year for SM, both for great music and concepts.


    EXO: they released the pathcodes to promote their full album exodus, quality album and SM outdid itself with an amazing concept, with call me baby and love me right being high quality title tracks



    RED VELVET: they released ice cream cake and dumb dumb in the same year with a good bubbly and quirky concept. The red was their first full album filled with good songs



    SNSD: they had a grand comeback with a full album and 3 title tracks in the same year, well studied concept by SM



    SHINee: they released their full album Odd with View and Married to the music being title tracks, both great musically and with a good concept



    F(X): they released their last full album with 4walls leading as the title track. A great experimental quality album done well as expected from them



    BoA: she released her full album Kiss My Lips, another great album coming from her



    Taeyeon: she debuted with her first mini album and I was the perfect title track to debut for as a solo artist



    To end this thread, all SM's artists had hits in 2015 and all their comebacks were well received in Korea and internationally.

    you say all SM artists but you didn't include Suju ....why people pretend they don't exist , they used to be SM no 1 group :pepepizza:

    Devil was great imo but it flopped in comparision to their prior comebacks

    It was a first comeback in years in which they didn't win anything at the music shows

    There're many reasons behind it, it was also the first year after the "Sungmin scandal" but oh well it was basically a turning point for their careers, bye music show awards :wilds:

    Agree to almost everything but Lil Touch was so bad. I can’t love it no matter how I try.

    SM will NEVER get a year as close to the amazing year they had in 2015

    Yeah 2015 was a great year. Every year with exo is a great year so I’m might be biased but 2015 was indeed very great keke.


    Exodus as an album and cmb and LMR were all well received and performed well.


    2017 and 2018 were really great too.


    Actually 2017 maybe equally as good as 2015 because The War did really and KKB did really well and we also had Red Flavor a huge hit as well. KKB and Universe both charted for a long time and really well. I forgot who else released what in 2017 keke. Taeyeon released Fine which did well. Taemin released Move again that did well.


    So probably 2017 was great too.

    I loved changmin and yunho's solo songs too!

    But devil being super junior's one of the best songs nope :pepe-sad:

    Mamacita was better than devil imo :eyes:
