Just because they have a hiatus does not mean they are gonna disband or fade into the dust? Wendy got injured and that affected most of their music releases which is why they went on a"hiatus". She's back and now they can prepare for a comeback. SM still has groups that have debuted in 2009 'active' thay will never announce disbandment. Plus SM has to focus on paying their taxes and Aespa, so they've got their hands full.
SM will not disband RV

SM has to stop putting their GGs in the dungeon. Super Junior is still active.

they won't disband RV. RV will disband themselves by not resigning.
Exactly what happened to f(x).

Companies don't care about idols tbh. They can produce as many groups as they want, especially BIG3 (or a company has the capability to hold many groups). I wouldn't consider Red Velvet with the same fate as f(x) as of now, for reasons you already listed. Idk why people are taking Wendy's injury not so seriously, she went through a lot, and it's not just a scratch yall get after playing in the ground. It would still be difficult for her to be in a normal routine, we should at least understand and give them time.
The industry is toxic and SM is no less. But Kpop fame is like this only. I don't want RV to go through what f(x) went through. Nobody deserves that type of treatment. I will be able to judge the type of fate they have with their next comeback and I am sure it will be bomb because many people are anticipating it.

i don't understand all the worry and concern. Irene isn't the fist SM female idol to have a controversy and still promote and carry on with her group's activities. the real reason behind their long hiatius is most likely Wendy's accident. she only made her official comeback on stage in SMtown live concert and that was less than 2 months ago

tvxq is even older than SJ but of course you wouldn't mention them
anyway, SJ run their own label so stop comparing them to other SM groups who rely 100% on SM.

I thought about putting TVXQ, but they are not that active as a group.
I don't get why you seem angry that I mentioned SJ.
TVXQ, SJ, Shinee, NCT. All active. (EXO on military hiatus, but solo activities going on)
GGs? RV and Aespa.

SM stans are so pityful for not seeing through SM's lack of 'disbanding'....The only reason the company doesn't disband groups is so they can updating their owenership of the groups image rights and name.
That's why SNSD aren't disbanded, but haven't comeback as a group in what? 3-4 years? Same for FX. While I don't think Red Velvet are at that stage yet it is only a matter of time before SM do what they always do and dungeon them.

Idk people just wanna talk about RV.

They were supposed to comeback in late 2020, Irene is the reason why the comeback was pushed back not Wendy, Wendy is ready health wise, she danced at smtown concert back in january, they are gonna wait for Irene's movie to come out to see if is gonna impact her, if everything goes well, they are gonna comeback in march/april.
