Just like letters on the sand
where waves were
I feel you’ll disappear
To a far off place
a poem by Lee Jieun (1993-).
==============
The above line was written by , ironically, someone who is contributing a great deal for the situation i am going to describe below.
The KPop revolution became big in 2007 and reached its height in 2019, then the Covid thing hit.
BTS is holding the ground , but its super success is not being transferred to other actrs.
Meanwhile in Korea a movement, led by the person who wrote the above lines, against Kpop has gained a lot of traction, as shown by yesterday's Melon Awards.
I have a fear, long lasting, that after BTS the Kpop revolution might wither and die.
It will remain to some degree, but never really dominate the world again, if the domesticists win the fight in Korea which is more likely because there are more older Koreans than younger ones.
I have said a few times that the 4th Gen has 2022 and at most 2023 to make a huge mark in the world stage, in order to continue the Kpop domination of the world. Or, otherwise, in 2024 the Backlash to end all Backlashes will take place, by people like Lee Jieun, Lim Youngwoong and Lee Mujin,
With so much being built, it would be nothing short of a Greek style tragedy to have it disappear very quickly thanks to the K-O-R-E-A-N-S.,
