GNCD and Bomin are their final hopes. It's sad how with Juri in RCPC, they couldn't capitalize on her. Infinite didn't build the company for it to go back to being in debt again. This is so sad.

woolim is honestly one of the stupidest mid tier companies still in the industry right next to dsp. i just don't get how they managed to ruin infinite and lovelyz in the years where they were rising stars on the verge of big break throughs. now they cant even get it together with their new artists

Well giving Golden Child comeback within the span of a year meanwhile Lovelyz, their highest charting group gets zero, wasn't really the best idea.

They should have added Eunbi and Chaewon to Rocket Punch, pushed Yeonhee's visuals + all round ability and signed Shitao Miu instead of Juri.

Why it became so bad?

Bad management of a bad company

Serves them right for stealing opportunities from other trainees and buying their trainees' way into mnet's survival groups

I feel like the pandemic took a hit on them because Golden Child is actually selling well (their recent repackage not that much though), Eunbi for a female soloist sold pretty well too on her debut too, and Rocket Punch is growing little by little... but no concerts, no festivals to attend to... unless you are a big company or have an outlier group selling like 300k/400k, as a kpop company you are going to struggle during this time.

Kind of bored how every problem every GG faces is explained with "tHeIr cOmpAny iS tRaSh".

It's just really basic.

The fact is no one knows why a few of the members didn't choose to re sign at the end of their 7 years. Maybe they had just made a bit of money and had enough of idol life and wanted to move on. Maybe some of them are trying to negotiate for too much and the numbers just don't work for Woollim.

I would argue that Woollim didn't 'mismanage' Lovelyz at all, except for maybe only allowing them to mature too late with Obliviate (by which time people had made up their minds on the group either way). Lovelyz always had well supported quality comebacks and always sold solidily for a mid tier GG.

BTW, as soon as someone uses the term 'flop' I get the instant impression that they are 13 at most.

That's unfortunate... Hope they clean up their act.
