I get Iz*one fans will be happy, but theirs rumors that their group will have 5 members, so if they want 3 members, then there will only be 2 new girls. I don't know how to feel about this, I thought their girl group would be big, like 10 members. I can't really understand why HYBE would want past Iz*one members so bad...is it because their already famous? I know Sakura and Chaewon are very talented but why? I guess people might say I'm selfish to want to see new faces around for 4th gen, but there will be a huge popularity difference in their new girl group if this is really happening.
I don't like when companies add members from past groups into their new groups.

it depends, I guess it takes the freshness out of it
its existing too see new faces never exposed to media debut compared to idols that are already used to it
-
I don't know I never watched a produce series. But its stupid, they should have made them permanent groups or extended their contract to 7 years, because half of them go to new groups and their new groups flop, and the ex-ioi or Iz*one member is always the popular one and the rest get paid dust. companies think there groups will hit it big with past members of produce but it's very unlikely.
-
Yeah, but the group itself isn't popular.

only time will tell if they really are in the group or not i guess.

its about the music
is it really though? lol I like to see new faces new personalites new everything

Music >>>>>>>> all that.
Id love to see some disbanded groups try again why should they miss out when they have talent?
because if they had chances then we'd have to give every single artist that has talent a chance too. Plus, sometimes music sucks. Like, I just want to see visuals and abs.
talent doesn't equal interest, it's a tough life out there in the industry.

companies and idols can do whatever they want though
if they want to debut new members great if they want to capitalise and use members of existing groups great...
it's purely a matter of freedom and choice...
-
i’m not too big on this either

There's a whole bg made of ex-members of disbanded groups. They're called Omega X. They debuted 1 month ago. Their debut video has >5M views.

really only applies to groups outside of the big 4 somi would have done amazing if she stayed and debuted in jyp. weki meki fell apart due to subpar management from their company they had a very solid start and pledis just gave up on pristin after one comeback smh. theres literally no way this could turn out bad for the girls or hybe if they manage to debut three of them together
-
why can't everyone just be an ACTOR. let trainees have a chance!

I- my ult group is literally a group made out of ex-members of old groups
and they're doing fine in korea

being an actor or musical actor is worse
everyone thinks actors > idols and idol actors are usually not casted because they usually are bad except for some exceptions. musical actors, have it EVEN worse because a ton of vocal practice especially in an environment they don't know, imagine cracking? usually only 1 actor/actress makes it out of a group and that's usually the visual idols that may/usually not be good at acting. Also there's acting trainees that are probably even more mad at idols.

oo what group is that?

not wrong there my friend...looking at precedent does help shape our views...
everybody should have a chance but it's only a chance not a certainty though...trying to compete with the talent that is chaeyeon is going to be a hard feat...or the visuals like sakura/minju/hyewon/wonyoung...
but from the only groups I know which were post IOI groups Pristin and Gugudan did great early then pledis screwed up Pristin and jellyfish screwed up gugudan lol
Weki Meki is still doing ok not a top group but still has a lot of support
WJSN is doing fine - over 100K sales which is great for a GG

the only other option is to just be JOBLESS.
