    1. [+10,902, -29] As expected of fans of such a celebrity ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    2. [+2,798, -20] We need to eradicate school bullying. We may not know how it feels but for the victims, I can only imagine how disgusting they must feel to have to see their bullies on TV acting all kind and nice.

    3. [+1,488, -27] To all of you who are threatening the victim right now, I hope you realize that you are no different from a bully yourself and that I hope you are found and sued

    4. [+1,147, -16] Truly expected of fans of such a singer

    5. [+541, -7] Soojin-ah, are you reading this? You are being selfish and cruel until the very end. I'm embarrassed that I was ever a classmate of yours. All because of you, our junior high school's name has been tainted. Whenever I tell people where I graduated from, everyone only talks about you. You thought that you could get away with this because everyone was keeping it hush hush, right? Everyone remembers that you were a bully except for your friends. How pathetic and dirty of you. If only you had admitted to the rumors when they first came out and apologized, then maybe you wouldn't have had to leave your group and could've gotten away with a hiatus before coming back. You threw away your own chance. You have no shame at all, so don't feel sorry for yourself. You are reaping what you sowed, and you chose this.

    6. [+304, -1] ㅎㅎㅎ Their fans are truly showing why they are fans of such a singer.......

    7. [+247, -2] Wow, the world's gotten a lot nicer if some ugly kid like her has fans too

    8. [+228, -1] Gangster b*tch and her iljin fans

    9. [+194, -3] Birds of a feather just flocking together... school bullies need to be exiled from our society forever

    10. [+85, -0] You fans! Wake up! Imagine if your brother or sister became victim to bullying? Is that when you'll understand? We never should allow bullies or s*x criminals to live peacefully on our land!

    11. [+83, -1] She looks so cheap. Despite her young age, you can see her nasty character all over her face.

    12. [+83, -1] Such poor character from her fans. What do they think they can do? Do they think they're important or something? Show your faces instead of hiding behind internet anonymity.

  • The people involved shoud turn off comments on their SNS for a while. This situation was expected, it's not like it didn't happen before. People get antagonized, so they antagonize others in return and it turns into a vicious cycle.

Disable the comments section until things cool down a bit. People's anger eventually fade and they move on.

Yeah guys want only to eradicate the bullies that became celebrities what about people who justed lead normal lives shouldn't also face consequences of their actions ? Or it only bothers when these people become rich and famous , Korea as a whole has a bully mentality as soon as someone has some sort of power they can use against someone to destroy their lives

yeah I've always wondered this, why is it that these allegations only happen once they have a career? I've seen it many times. It just makes it feel like extortion to me, some are true, some aren't.

  • not people in here deflecting. Those comments are nothing compared to the shit I've seen ifans say.

Yeah well, several months ago I saw a Korean commenter on reddit say that school violence was like the Holocaust, but since Germans apologized they've been forgiven. I think it takes the cake.

[edit] it's not necessarily the meanest thing I ever read on the subject but it was definitely the craziest.

Why i don't like is that this people only cared to report them because they became famous so doesn't mean that if they never pursued entrainment they would have gotten away with it ?

Yes it's exactly the narrative carried out by people, even on this forum. You can be a school bully no problem as long as you don't become a celebrity. If you become a bank director, a rich businessman or luxury hotel manager, it's fine. It's all good. Because reasons.

basically. I was bullied relentlessly as a kid in school but sometimes it just feels strange to me that they're only ever called out as soon as they become part of the entertainment industry. Why not have them arrested and charged before they become trainees?

What i wonder is what about other people do they face the consequence of their actions ? Do they get fired from their jobs because of school bullying or it only applies to idols? Because seriously if this people cared about bringing Justice to the victims every bully should face the repercussion if their actions.

  • Are you agree or disagreeing with me?

About what? About arresting bullies? Where I live, it seems to me that school bullying is not a police affair. Police gets involved only if there's drug trafficking or weapons involved. The police won't come to arrest a kid who trashtalk you. If there's physical violence, I think the school institution is supposed to act first with disciplinary sanctions.

To make it short, school issues should be resolved on the spot, not 10 years after. Keep also in mind that law violations have an expiration date. The police won't bother about a kid who used to steal lunch money 10 years ago. It's too late, there can be no charges.

So yeah, if you're being bullied, take actions asap.

By these netezins words every one should be fired from their job because of bullying

Yeah that's what i was speaking about, I understand why some people think these bully accusers are lying cause they wait years later after the fact.

    Make sense?

I guess because it’s easier to target an Idol. With people graduating, people go their separate ways, so they gone. But an Idol is right there. Even if you can’t contact them privately, you can at least expose them publicly to get an reaction.

  • as if the netizens didn't do the same to soojin.... 0 sympathy

Not defending netizens whatsoever (they are incredible hypocritical), but you don't have any sympathy for the victim getting threats because knetz, other people, were assholes towards soojin??

if you can't defend your fave without attacking the victim with threats, that's 100% on you.

  • this is so embarrassing for g idle fans, like y'all doing this over soojin? like she don't even know nor care about you. it's giving hypocrisy.

  • Knetz should be that last people to be talking about bullying. We all know that they are the reason why some kpop idols are dead.

Anyway, I don't think it is nice to terrorize the victim. I think we should wait for this whole mess to be explained before jumping on the hate train.

Period! They're literally just as bad of monsters as they make these idols out to be but they never get called out for it

Because normal people don't build careers based off their face and personality, they build their careers off of skill and talent.

If you see somebody that tormented you and made you feel victimized make a career and success for themselves based off of being a good person, you have every right to call that hypocrisy out. Imagine the head of PETA being caught at all you can steak buffet or a pro-"wholesome family" politician having a chick on the side.

Why be mad at those girls for "not moving on" when this whole Soojin has nobody but herself to blame for fucking up her situation so badly.

But bullying happens in every country, how does Super Junior still have a career have the amount of scandals they've had?

I don't necessarily think "it's all good as long as you're not a celebrity", I think it's just much easier to hold celebrities accountable for their actions because they rely on the public to make money. It's a lot harder to "cancel" regular people.

  • does male privilege also help?

Definitely and their fanbase is mostly older or conservative Koreans. They've been called out plenty of times but that kind of behavior is normalized with their demographic.

However, I've never subscribed to the "one person escaped accountability, so should this person as well" that's not a good reason to give anybody a pass

  • I agree with comment no.5. As sad it is, soojin would have easily gotten away with it if she just apologised and reconciled privately with the victim. Instead, she came up with an outrageous statement admitting that she was a iljin but never did schoold violence. The public is not going to take her side after that ridiculous statement. Sometimes being silent works way better for idols careers.

So you're saying idols put no hard work or skills on their craft and all of their fame is from being personality ??? Thanks for the output

I think it's unfair for idols, i don't blame the victims but don't hold idols for their actions and let the rest of people roam free
