    On the August 11 broadcast of KBS Joy's variety program 'The Demonstration Museum', Brave Girls' Yujeong made a guest appearance.


    Here, Yujeong revealed the financial hardships she had faced in the past, while promoting with her group. She said, "I always felt sorry to the company. Amidst our albums consistently failing, our company continued to release our albums. In a way, we didn't even earn them 1% [of profits]. While we did receive investments, there was nothing that we were achieving. There were a lot of people who did not even know we had made a comeback. Borrowing the words we used to say habitually back then, we would say 'No matter what we do, we don't succeed'. "


    She continued, "We did not earn enough from performing at the military units. They were also really far [from home]. But we truly loved standing on stage. We all knew that if even one of us gave up, it really would be the end. But the four of us held on, while telling each other 'Let's do at least one more performance, let's release at least one more album'. "


    Yujeong then revealed that the Brave Girls members finally received their pay, after waiting six long years. She revealed, "Currently, we have received our pay." Sung Si Kyung asked her, "Did the minus in your bank account disappear?" To this, Yujeong replied, "Yes. I am very grateful."

    This really reflects the harsh reality of nugu groups not just Brave Girls. Imagine how many groups are actually suffering like this.


    I'm beyond ecstatic that Brave Girls manage to have their huge breakout this year because they truly deserve it. Probably the greatest underdog story that can ever come out of the industry.

    If your heart isn’t warmed by Brave Girls finally becoming successful after so long, even if you’re not that into the music, you’d have to be pretty cold, imho!


    I haven’t really loved anything I’ve heard from them so far but I was really touched to see how overjoyed they were to be performing on music shows, etc. That article makes me really feel happy for them as well - they worked so hard with only their passion to sustain them for so long.

    I agree that this is the harsh reality for most idol groups. but i guess Brave Girls is some kind of extreme.

    As far as i know, if a group dont get successfull the members will start to leave after 3-4 years. if not.

    The company will run out of money or at least isnt willing to invest anymore. So the groups never survive that long.

    For example i only know Blackswan/Rania who is around for that long time without much success but look at their member history...

    Please correct me if im wrong.

    for every BP/Twice/SNSD etc you probably hundreds of groups like pre-viral Brave Girls who are really nugu...not even like Gugudan/DIA nugu but truly no one knows of them...

    Thats very sad. But omg the girls is probably millionaires rn. Not to mention I've been noticing the company upgrading stuffs like buying brand new vans for their artists.

    They have a good success story. I hope they continue the momentum. If they are getting enough digits in their checks, I hope they are investing some so they will never have to see another negative balance regardless of how the tide turns.

    Brave Bro is rich, and he likes to flex.

    Im sure the girls are fare away fom being millionairs. For example Twice members have 1-3 milion each with millions of album sales, years of concerts, merchandise etc. Brave Girls have none of that. and for every fearless there are 100 once.

    At least they have tons of cfs and i guess most of the money goes directly to the girls without much for the company.

    So they have paid of their depts to the company and even get a nice bonus so they probably even can pay off their student deps now (yes with 30 years they still havent paid of their student depts). But they still need to be successfull for a while to later avoid working as a barista/youtuber etc.

    i really admire your attempt to rise them from that bottom but i watched the MV. Even its from 2017 too, its not like rollin. so you need to make a much better videocompilation than viditor to make them go viral.

    Anyway i wish you all the best luck with making them rise. hwaiting.

    but no need to be sad or worried. The name Fearless itself makes beeing worried impossible and even if we may small in numbers we will still make sure the girls will now walk the flower path.

    The girls were in dept and hasnt made a profit in 6 years so payment starts this month.

    Each member will earn 996250000 KRW = 881,036 $ from aug - dec, 5 month.

    when they can hold concerts and events it will be higher.

    it only include 25 ads but there are more to come.

    the album this fall also isnt included.

    Furthermore any amount that isnt asured isnt included so it will probably be higher.
