Who are the Ze:A of new gen?
A group with low or midtier success with integrants having more individual success as actors or mcs.
Ze:A had Hyunsik, Siwan, Kwanghee and Dongjun. They are extremely popular as an actor and mcs and variety star but Ze:A is a total nugu
Maybe in this generation the title is between GOT7, SF9 and Astro.
GOT7: Jinyoung rising actor in SK, Jackson rising star in China with a successful song like Papillon, Mark growing in fashion magazines, Bambam prince it boy in Thailand.
SF9: Rowoon and Chani shining as actors. Hwiyoung and Dawon starting first solo works.
Astro: Eunwoo is one of current SK it boys but Fantagio during 2019 started to give activities to Moon Bin and Yoon Sanha.
Who is the "Ze:A" of 3rd generation ?

UP10TION - Nobody cares for them except for Kim Wooseok and its pretty bad. Kim Wooseok is like the "it boy" since he was on Produce 101 in 2019 and it kinda sucks cause of UP10TION
PENTAGON - Because people seem to only care for Hui and Hongseok and only got more interest into the group after they apeared on Road To Kingdom

I would say sf9 (they did good in the start but then it just got all quiet then again yeah Kingdom helped them a lot). Got7 did much better so can’t really say that they were like Ze:A. I agree with an above comment, Golden child is another what seem to be fitting.

It's definitely sf9. There have been plenty of boy groups over the years who have surpassed the group's popularity, but
ZE:A had like 4 members who were massive celebrities that far surpassed the group's popularity. The same can be said about Chani and Rowoon because of the acting world (same thing for ZE:A). Plus Sf9 has Hwiyoung and Taeyang who have amassed a pretty large fandom.
The main difference is SF9 is a little more popular than ZE:A ever was. They at least climbed to a solid middle tier position while ZE:A was a lower middle tier position

And for the people saying Golden Child, the members just aren't popular enough. The might sorta be on the rise, but those individual members are growing with the group. It's not like there are multiple members who are just always trending along with top tier celebrities.

I think GC’s latest album (released on the same day as Astro) sold around 130k. Still good, but not great for 4th Gen standards

Ah, yeah I know that. That’s why I wasn’t saying Astro in my post. I actually check out their latest comeback after I recovered from how Sanha looks these days…
