I think they waited for Irene to bring this up and talk. Irene is an introvert, she would never bring up such a topic again, even if she regrets it, so she talked about superficial topics. It's normal for her to hide her feelings anyway, she doesn't have to, I think it's wrong for netizens to meddle in idol business.
