Other than that the reason I think why this comobo works so well is because of the number of grils and the similar concept between the Red and velvet and the Black and pink as well as this two group have the same type of visuals and styling

Blackvelvet is pretty much the only group combo I like. Their dual concept match and they look good together.

Also I think many people like it because they would be 9 members like Twice and SNSD.

I adore interactions and stuff blackvelvet, twicepink or twiceomg its cute but I don't really care much for entire fandom or group shipping unless they give me good content like a rad mashups of good songs or fluffy moments of women supporting women. Its more about vibes than group shipping tbh.
