the solos and group songs differ because bp style is not chaennie style. the content of the songs might differ but effort was def put into all the songs.

nope, both chaennie and ot4 songs are on the same level of greatness.

it's nice that recently there's been more creative input on both ends (lovesick girls - jensoo, on the ground/gone - rosé).

hopefully lisa's solo and blackpink's next comeback will be that way as well.

They’re on par. Though different vibe from BP, the solos are fit for the person singing/performing it. Solo is Jennie personified. Solo is the glamorous and sexy/cute Jennie and OTG is the indie/rocker concept with sentimental feelings that is Rosé

I like BP stuff over their solo stuff but that's because they have more of it but i enjoy their solo stuff too

It depends on your taste. SOLO was more similar to BP songs, so I can understand why some people preferred it to OTG. But I also understand why people looking for something different prefer OTG.

I think they are both good songs which fit Chaennie's styles, and I hope for the same with Lisoo.

The solos actually represent the individual member's style much better than BP OT4 materials.

Jennie - fierce and strong

Rosé - mellow and sentimental

I love them all actually as they show versatility and diversity. I mean, what's the purpose of going solo if they all replicate BP's sound and not showing their true musical identify?? Especially in the case of Rosé, I personally think she doesnt like BP's usual genre a lot, if u know what kind of songs she's into (bleeding love, Since u been gone, because of you etc)

I expect Lisa to have a very hardhitting dance track cause that's her core. Something like Jessi's Nunu Nana / CL's The Baddest Female

In my opinion, Rosé solo is inferior but Jennie solo is on the same level as Blackpink work.
