why is jype so obsessed with numbers in the groups' names

That would be a pretty solid lineup if they are, which I feel like they most likely are since JYP Boys are on LOUD & they’ll be 7

They got Lily for English-speaking appeal & Yuna for Japanese appeal, Haewon is likely gonna be the visual & Yunjin apparently is an ace, so they’re set for life

But meh at only 4, was hoping for 7. Big @@@a74c61fe-55f4-49d4-bada-2ef63f13de6e@@@ GGs keep getting smaller & smaller while the BG hit double digits

If the final lineup has four members that basically confirms the concept. They won't do teen crush or girl crush to avoid comparisons to itzy and aespa. So it'll probably be bright.

is this Yuna the same Yuna in Niziu Project?

I really really reallly hope they trained LilyM well. Because her timbre is SO GOOD, but she seems to have problems in projection.

Its JYP they could careless about vocals she sounds good but I'm afraid she'll stay the same or regress as with all JYP main vocal girlies

It's just that they like to put their songs out of the range of many of their main vocalists. If Lily is in the group he won't have that issue as she has a quite variable vocal range including a relatively high pitch. Of course Nina has the highest pitch of any of them and can repeatedly do that live as well so maybe they learned their lesson.

yeah after bts i think 7 member groups can be good between not too few members and not too many members. One main vocalist; two lead vocalists; two rappers; one main dancer and 2 lead dancers. Let's hope!

Lily M is finally debuting?? I watched her in kpop star and loved her she's amazing. Can't wait to see her even though the group name might be this questionable one

This big size is never ever gonna be outdated, just gonna go in & out in trend. People said cute concepts were outdated when sexy & girl crush took over, and then the right GGs came out and brought that & innocent back. Same with group size, cuz people said this before too, and yet Twice came out & big girl groups started taking off again. It’ll only take Girls Planet 999 and/or HYBE GG to revamp it

Also JYP debuted NiziU not too long ago…. They got 9 members. So the concept def not dying anytime soon

Their official lineup was released when they did the prologue film. There was speculation as to the members several months before that as Chaeryeong, Somi, Yeji, Lia, and Ryujin were all seen hanging around together. That was the first semi official lineup. BUT shortly after that Somi left and that left a hole. Then there was speculation Yuna would be in the group because of a video that was released by JYP about a month earlier in I think December of 2018. But officially it was January 20th 2019.

Apparently Sq4ad is suppose to have a friendly concept. So my guess is it’ll be like 4 best friends making music together, or a concept similar to that. As much as I want it to be 7, if they did this concept, I’d be cool with 4, cuz it would remind me of Bratz or something lol

Squ4d as a name already gives off the mean/gossip girls aesthetic. It’s girl/teen crush i feel. But leaning more to girl crush with pretty/cute overtones LOL.
