In the context of kpop and cancel culture, it's only natural that people won't be willing to forgive and forget certain crimes and "mistakes".
I feel like this is kind of a generational thing? Or at least, a cultural shift over time.
By "this", I mean the obsession with perfection. In the west at least.

I also do believe it’s more of a cultural shift.
And I also believe social media plays a role here. These days we a bombarded with information, we actually don’t need life experience anymore. Social media tells us how the world should look like and how a human being should be and by doing so people ignore how reality and humans really are.

I know and it’s ok if you can’t forgive certain things. But cancel culture is bad nevertheless. If you don’t want to support a certain person anymore, it’s YOUR decision. No need to force other people to follow your decision and than get mad if others are willing to give certain people another chance.

But in all seriousness, my life was always so full of great parents who did their best in teaching me respect and character that i could say I grow up ok without major mistakes like breaking the law... Buuuut obviously I'm not better than others and i did hurt some in my process of living. I guess you could call me MonaSus

I've made plenty of mistakes, I always make the left decision, I break my values all the time (but if my values include hypocrisy hmmm...), I always choose the wrong people to be friends with (just look at my followers list *sigh a bunch of pabos* lol), I've broken the law and revealed it, I always fall into temptation, I never follow the principal - only the vice principal, I'm very ignorant, My emotions are rampant, I hurt a lot of people (accidentally but my wife and son say differently) and I am a very morally corrupt person (but if my morals are different does that mean everyone else is morally corrupt)

Btw… morals are based on each individual’s beliefs. So if your morals are different than those of others, No they ain’t morally corrupt, they just have different beliefs than you .
i did something very similar a few months ago
i was in the sweet shop with a few friends and i wanted to get something for my little sister so i picked up some love hearts (sweets) and held them in my hand. it started getting cold because the door was open so i put my hands in my pockets and dropped the love hearts in there too, forgetting they existed. i payed for my other sweets and as soon as i got out, i remembered the love hearts...
i ran back into the shop saying 'omg im so sorry i forgot to pay for them!'
the guy in the sweet shop gave them to me for free because of my honesty
i still got told off by my friend's mum though
