Technically my dad did, they met at a dance night and he asked my mom for a dance but by that time my mom had already had her eyes on him because she saw him at the buffet/snak bar eating a cake instead of drinking like other guys and she found that cute

(my father loves sweets so much that he would definitely choose a cake over alcohol even in a party )

My parents met on a blind date in Sydney back in 1958, they were married a couple of years later and were married for fifty years.

My dad worked at the club and saw my mom. He got her in for free every Saturday. I remember when my mom told me the story I was cringing so hard. But Im glad they met because if they didnt, I wouldnt be here.

iirc my dad was delivering a sofa at my mother's home, he asked for a date the same day and got it right away after work

This is adorable.

We live in a small town, so there wasn't many places to go party, my father used to go with his groups of friends and my mom with her sisters, at some point I think their groups clashed.

My mom was kinda popular between boys and she used to think my dad was annoying, he was like 19 years and she was 23, so I guessed my dad did and here is where the story gets different depending on who is telling it.

My mom say he didn't stop asking her out until she finally accepted, and my dad says he didn't ask that many times so I don't really know.

My dad tried to get with my mom first.

At that time, her family had a small grocery store and he was a frequent client in there, and he tried to get in her good grace.

After they had me, my father managed to convince my mother to get married when I was around 3 years old. She was that type of "strong, independent woman" who doesn't want to get married and I have a feeling that even the pregnancy she had with me was probably a mistake that she carried on.

Even today, she's strongly trying to influence me into NOT getting married yet and tries to push me to find better jobs, supports my college (even though she disagreed with some of my choices) etc.

P.S. She was 23 and my father was 29 when she gave birth to me, if anyone was interested in that.

On the other side of the spectrum, I tried to get with my boyfriend first and I did the moves on him. I'm also enthusiastic about the prospect of family, children and stuff I guess the only thing I have in common with my mother are the looks, because we're the complete opposites.

My mum visited the restaurant where my dad helped his parents run and that was basically it for my dad since my mum was very beautiful. When my dad, who was a waiter gave my mum her check so she can pay for the food, he put his number on it. My mum was bored so she started calling my dad to see what he was about, and she started to like him too.

They got divorced later so it's not like this story is even special anymore lmao

Ehhh my dad was a cheater mess who cheated his wife with my mom and a lot of other women as well LOL No happy story or ending here.

But I did hit on my last two boyfriends

The first time I hit on a dude he swore he wanted to do the dirty as well but was always giving me a could shoulder despite the most graphic erotic tellings LOL Never marked the date and when he did he just went pooof... Gone.

I almost translated into a stalker because as woman I wasn't used to feeling reject but once you get over it there's a lot of fish in the sea.
