Red Velvet should become a rotational group now with sub units

Now RV is almost at the end of their contract; and with irene's scandal it will be great if they can add Lami; koeun and Hina as new RV members. As RV members will get busy with solo projects and acting projects; adding 3 new members means group can still have 2-3 comebacks in a year and members can be chosen from who is available to that time.

Lami is so pretty and well known ; she will become cf queen easily like irene as long as group comebacks do well. Also has cheerful personality she can do well in variety and MC jobs. SM has karina and Winter as next potential brand ambassadors but it wouldn't hurt to add Lami she can only bring profit to SM. She was often compared to Yoona.

And koeun is decent lead vocalist also she reminds me of korean actress Han hyo joo. She has expressive face and would do well as actress in future.

Hina is known to be a good dancer and would be a good addition to RV. Her vocals are also very pretty and unique like Joy.

Can't be any idea better than this and LSM is a fan of rotational groups.

it's not too late. This is the right time. With adding new members; GP interest will be on now members and irene will be away from spotlight. Also it will be beneficial for RV members as the nnew members will keep the group brand value high and that will benefit their solo careers too. Otherwise SM will keep RV only in name and it will be Wendy and Seulgi solos with Joy and Yeri busy with acting and variety shows.

i think SM plan was originally RV to be a rotational group that was why the SM trainees shown in happiness MV. But later Twice had a successful debut with 9 members and SM probably thought best to keep few members than to compete with another 9 member group. Yeri got added because the others were then moved on for new girl group project but that didnt happen as we can see. They trained for long years and now they are only 20 but too old to debut by idol world standards. Getting into established group like rv will be good for both the girls and SM.

By debuting a new girl group; it will compete with their other new girl group Aespa. With new 3 members added; RV can have subunits like OT5 will have a comeback once a year and the new OT3 can have their own comeback a year under RV name and once a year they can do OT8 releases too.

I also don’t understand the logic of adding people with no actual experience (yes they are trainees but that is a very different thing) to a 7 year old group. This can work in NCT because NCT is specifically structured that way, but even within NCT it does not work that way: new, less experienced members get introduced through the rotational unit NCT U to gain experience, than break off to form a new unit OR join an existing unit. But when members joined existing units, those units were only 1-2 years old, not 5+.

Tl, dr: RV is fine the way they are.

Actually they can do something similar to NCT. The original 5 members will be one unit and new 3 members will be one unit. They can do rotational unit comebacks once a year like NCTU where the members will be picked based on who suit the concept. And otherwise original OT5 and new OT3 can have their own separate comebacks while being under same RV name.
