Yes they are. They have always been. Only bg with a Korean fanbase that can chart on melon 24hits while others can't even crack top200.

ngl. txt's achivements on bb 200 jp album charting and spotify achievements are pretty impressive. transcends over 3rd gen bgs as well. given only bts achieved those so far.

But jokes aside they are currently the biggest when taking a look at overall metrics. They lead the top 2 biggest markets I.e US and Japan. If I’m not mistaken they are the only 4th gen group to chart on US Spotify and they have done it twice with anti romantic charting higher. Just as you said they do well in Japan too worldlove27 can you share their stats here if you are free?

I know that right now they have the closest chance to debut in Under billboard hot 100 if MOAs can pull in sales. They are also the highest charting 4th gen group on BB too. They have so much potential.

Closely behind them may be Stray Kidz. They have the popularity overall but they don’t chart well surprisingly. I don’t know if it’s bad management and their popularity can’t be well capitalized on but I think they need the right push or strategy.

My opinion is just based on boy groups. For girl groups it’s pretty different. They are dominating Korean charts and itzy does well in Japan digitally if I’m not mistaken. But in US overall I think it’s still txt.

I’m open to any discourse since I am not conversant with 4th gen groups much. I don’t mind being educated

I'm waiting to see how kingdom groups perform, I think tbz will get close in terms of digitals, the question is how much and skz will confirm its international success plus finally securing a more important kr fanbase.

But right now apart from being ass at youtube streaming and voting, txt is ahead in a majority of metrics, including the most important ones. Their latest Spotify streaming data was the missing piece to an overall success

For overall 4thgen, they are leading globally but ggs and especially Itzy plus aespa on the way are way too above to be compared purely in terms of Korean digitals and gp recognition
