Xenophobia and racism
Asian countries have always been ignored expect Japan because it was always a huge market
Now with globalisation, asian markets can't be ignored anymore
Status quo has been changed. Asian acts have been rising and dominating
Now BTS become number one artist in world
And moreover asian groups are talented and trained performers than most generic stars they stan
So they can't digest it. And their true selves come out.

And with boygroups the logic tends to be this:
1. Only girls like boygroups.
2. The opinion of girls is irrelevant.
3. To be a good artist you must have a sizable male fan base since a female's judgement is far too clouded by hormones and emotions to be worth considering.
4. If the boygroup happens to have male fans as well, refer back to point 1 and start over.

are you kidding? lol. u.s female pop acts have fandoms full to the brim of white gay men and they are some of the most racist individuals on the planet next to white straight men. not to mention people in general are more likely to unleash the full extent of their racist ideologies in online spaces and against people who arent american because it makes them feel better.

A lot of those users are also gay men with severe internalized homophobia, so seeing BTS be successful while bucking the Western standards of masculinity puts them off.
It's not just BTS; ATRL gives a lot of popular black artists a hard time.

I dunno, Beyonce gets shaded a lot on ATRL for being "local" (aka mainly popular in the U.S.) and not having any recent solo hits. There was a pretty long thread the other day shading her streaming numbers. I'd say she's a polarizing figure there. A lot of Europeans don't seem to like her very much.

This is the first I'm hearing of this site so I went to check it out. Man, I've never seen people more salty than this
And a suspicious number of the ones I saw happened to be kpop Stans themselves!??!? Of course it was the usual bs argument of we hate army not bts.
Don't mind them op. The more successful bts gets the more tears they'll cry. All you'll have to do is sit and enjoy their meltdowns because those are truly glorious
