As a user that joined recently I was wondering how the old akp forums were like. How was the environment? What were users like? etc. The only time I have ever seen it before was when, how do I say this? A user claimed that a specific user "hooked up" with one of the members of a group and then married a member of another group. The title was um....... something along the lines of blank idol lost his v-card at the age 13. Yikes. I think this visit was before the new forums were created most likely somewhere between December to beginning of January. I think at the time I saw a gray like screen with patterned white? when I visited. If any of you have screenshots then would you mind sharing them?

I'm pretty sure akorns didn't exist.

yeah, I think it was a point system instead. The price for badges was the same though, I'm pretty sure.

Oh okay:
Ripia was a massive troll who was ranked as the top #1 or #2 troll of all time.
DrewB, another troll wrote a thread on TWICE and I think he nearly got sued by JYP because of crazy article writers.
Abs was Abs...constant hit threads that made the forum active.
There was a very active gossip section where super strange rumors got posted, like the ones you saw, but some of them came true (none of the weird dating ones but like member/group conflicts)
Emanresu had very cute appreciation threads for so many idols, my favorites were his Tzuyu threads.
There was the marriage system between accounts but it was more topsy-turvey
More people there, a lot more fighting, posts , and even fanwars
They tried anons there, but the system was not set up as well as it is here, and people who set up personal anons got tons of vile comments and hate so they shut that.
Some users were super iconic, and a few had been there for a very long time.
A lot of them moved to other forums.

gosh, I remember the fanwars. they were held like events or something
-
it was fun but there was too much of drama.
Another thing, the Lounge and Kpop section seemed like completely different worlds. Each user used to rule each section of the forum.
Guilds were just long paged threads. We had trophy points instead of akorns. You can earn them through the no. of posts, no. of likes and how long it's been since you've joined the forum.

How is RIPIA a troll again!!!!!! What the hell! I can't believe they are a moderator. You have to be lying.

It was pretty nice, a lot of things were outdated though. There were no reactions, only liking posts. There were no akorns and the currency was points and post count and you had to order badges with a form and they would give it to you. There was no allkill, signatures were super hard to manage, there were no gif dps or banners. There was more on the leaderboard, there was no pepe, no cuties, none of these really new emojis. There was a media thing, there was no red carpet, there was The Purge which was super fun. You were allowed to have spam threads and (possibly) have alts. The trolls were a lot more exciting and there were more fanwars. There were more active users, more hit threads. There were events where you could get limited items. There were no subforums for guilds, idk if there were custom emblems, there were custom emojis for guilds, there weren't any custom badges for guilds. There was an 18+ section and more sections but pretty much ended up dying. More drama it seemed.
It was a lot different. They added a lot of new stuff but they also took a lot of things away. A lot of new users here but there were some really big users who left or got banned.

139 birthdays though???
i think they used it as a fake bday cause they are lazy lol

LMAO yeah...I only see 1-3 birthdays that show a day
It was crazy back then but honestly a lot more quiet here and slightly more boring...the trolls here aren't as exciting, neither are the fanwars here...
and there were so many people that these newer users have missed, it's not the same without them at all

50 pages is nothing. That scandal went for so long. I'm pretty sure it would have at least 200 pages

Ohmygod how is bashing thread allowed
I don't know, maybe they haven't had the close thread system. It was 3 years ago though
-
It was easier to like a post and we can see user profile without loading another page

It was different, a different group of people. I like both the old and new forums

I was on the old forum for about three years and although I had my moments with people on there, they were better than the current users. I don’t enjoy it here as much and I find the current users to be more sassy and opinionated. I won’t leave as it’s a free forum and I have an account here. I’m sorry but if someone gives me a sassy comment, they’ll get one back. I’ve had enough lately, certain persons need to pull their heads in.

Same old. Same old. It wasn't all the different.

Oh yeah, and spam threads!!!

Hey long time no see! How have you been?

There was a whole gaming crew and people would post sexy gifs to distract eachother

Hey! I have been good. How about you?

My leaving had nothing to do with the fiasco. I was going to resign at the end of December anyway but stayed on to help the forum. However, it was just too much to manage for me. I was working and doing my masters and I was barely sleeping. So, I just chose to resign. I am happy to see the forum thriving though. I will probably disappear tomorrow. Still have my final exam in September
Hmmm. Honestly, nope. I listen to songs here and there but I have pretty much been into Chinese novels and dramas. Not much of kpop.
