How many close friends should a normal person have?

Well I have 1 close friend that lives near me but the rest don't live near me.

as many or as less as a person wants or needs...

I have 2 bestfriends and I know them since I was baby. So yeah I say you only need two real friend in your life

I don't see why there should be a limit. Although, people who manage to maintain more than 3 close friendships amaze me. Personally, I only have two close friends and it's still a lot of work...
