People are not going to hype something they don't know lol, by definition nugu idols are not popular so it makes sense that their visuals are not hyped.

Taehyung looked way better back in 2015 & 2016, but he never won any poll against popular white celebrities (example: Harry Styles) bc him and BTS weren't the biggest thing around the world. But now Taehyung is treated as the most handsome person on Earth, which is wrong bc Jungkook looks best!

People who do not like the pretty boy type may not find them handsome. They can only find them cute. They are not superior to each other, I think they are at the same level. I like pretty boy too, that's why I'm a kpop fan.

I see you're talking about popularity, however I think another important aspect is money.

nugu idols and their companies cannot afford many of the things popular idols can. Their clothes are going to be low quality. They may not hire makeup artists. Or go to salons for dye jobs. Their MVs are not going to look as good. OP quite literally nugu idols won't look as classically pretty, because they can't. Since some element of looking good requires so much money, money that none of them have.

Yes, if more people know of you, more people will find you good looking, but when you have more money, it is also easier to look good. You have so many more resources.

Beauty is subjective and I'm dead certain the people who didn't like RM's visuals then still don't like him now.

He's still deemed the least attractive in the group by majority of ppl so there's that.

Why this became BTS focused as per I don't know. 🙄.

I can't really comment on that bc I always found RM handsome. But yeah, success can make a celebrity considered as the standard of beauty. I've seen this a lot in western media as well, with the Kardashian family seeming like the beauty standard.

I think it’s the case in the past because idols and their companies couldn’t afford ps and good makeup and styling and the difference in appearance management is huge. But now people acknowledge the less popular groups visuals. I followed stayc since the beginning and their visuals were acknowledged.

But then the more popular is more familiar So more preferable

Yes, of course they are pretty on their own. I am not saying they aren't. I am saying, that popular idols have the resources to look better. Their hair might be done in a super high end salon, so the color is better, and their hair might be too. Plus they might use the est shampoo/conditioner. After all that, who do you think will end up later with healthier hair?

Or look at clothes. Popular idols can get things tailored, or even custom made. because they can afford it. On the other hand, nugu idols have to use rip offs, or in general cheaper clothes. This makes a difference in quality. Outfits that don't flatter you, make you look way less pretty. For nugu idols, that is way more likely.

Or makeup. Or just how good your mv is. Or, or, or there are so many factors here. All these little things. It doesn't make idols ugly, it limits their potential.

Not only success but marketing as an SM stan , you would definitely know the most about this topic since SM is a big example of this brainwashing people into thinking they produce the best visuals and getting minions to hype them up when a lot of nugu idols are better looking

You are the real life example on how this is not true since you are obviously dragging rm. A lot of people still do not find some bts members attractive BUT charismatic. Also visuals are very much subjective. A lot of idols that you might find attractive aren’t attractive to others. I e.g. do not find a lot of idols attractive that are being praised by so many people as being god level. I have even seen some of them and found them quite boring looking

i agree with this i notice how everyone are telling jessi she became much prettier after the success she had with nununana even big celeberties are coming to her show interview in the past they use to know her but no one was really hyping her
