Actually Blackpink did get backlash, check out the why I unstanned blackpink videos, one of their main reason is because of the easy dances.

BP have been getting hate for easy choreos since like...2018, so maybe I guess you've been out of the loop? It wasn't a huge reason but they did get their fair share of hate for choreos to KTL, D4, etc.
Exactly why I said EXTREME backlash. I never said that Blackpink never got hate for their dances, just that it wasn't on the same level as Twice. The level of backlash Twice got for their choreo was absurd and is still something Onces have to protect them from to this day. Meanwhile when you look at the things antis bitch about for Blackpink, having easy dances isn't really that far up on the list.
Yeah, only the chorus parts in the dances are hard but when you look at the whole song...
Bp did harder or had more intricate choreo only at the beginning with whistle and BBY, but after that they were known for having easier choreo or not too complex.

Their dance? Well, they get criticisms most of the time which to me is underserved as they were never a focused dance group neither danced like crazy to people being so up their ass using dance as a criteria to hate them.
Thet literally never talked about their choreo neither complained which maybe means they are ok with it. Despite popular opinion they are busy most of the time so having to dance like crazy profissional doesn't seem like a case they would want.
Before evolving concepts, both Blackpink and Twice had relatively easy dances. But Twice was the only one that got extreme backlash for it. Personally, I think it's because of some kpop fan's misplaced hatred of cute concepts and how they think cute = easy. But I want to see what other people think.
(also what happened with Jennie in 2018 doesn't count. She got backlash for being "lazy", not for the group's dances.)

They have fairly busy dances, harder than BP dances but then again, they do have more members, so that makes a difference.
It's all relative but no kpop dances are really "easy" to perform.

OP, overall I agree cute concepts got much more heat from iFans only because overall iFans hate it. Any group going cute concept is much more prone to high scrutiny and judgmental eyes for anything they do
That's said you choose a pretty bad example to make a point. Twice stopped getting hate for their very tame dancing many comebacks before their concept change which for me imply their concept was never to blame
I dont think calling someone's choreography bad when it is bad is the same as hating. Twice choreo from 2016 and 2017 WAS bad
Indeed from TT to Signal their choreography was underwhelming and resorted mostly in trying to make catchy moves in a very desperate attempts of going viral no matter what. It worked two times (Cheer Up and then TT) but clearly stopped working sooner than later
Once they stopped caring less about viral and more about actual dance their choreos improved by a lot. Right now they are probably the female 3rd gen groups with one of the best dance crews behind only specific dancing trained groups like GFriend or Dreamcatcher. I don't see major criticism about their choreos since them

no group should get hate for this i don't follow Twice that much but i follow BP a little and i have seen kpop fans complaining about them having easy & simple choreo so this is really unnecessary comparison
