Almost daily since my fatherโs passing recently.
Condolences.
I hope you're able to cherish the memories, teachings, and love you shared with him as best as you can. Life's a precious thing. There are certain things we can replace, but memories and people are often one-of-a-kind and very dear to us.
As clichรฉ as it is to say this, I'm sure his legacy continues on through you and others he made an impact on.

Thank you
Iโve written a journal about him and the wonderful man that he was. He left a huge impact on my life and Iโm grateful for that.

quite a lot
i've learned to just let it out when it strikes
-
Never.
-
Frequently. At least once a week if not more.
-
I try to make it once a month, which is a task to do (kinda like an emotional purge) , but i only started doing this in the last couple of years, as sometimes I don't register my emotions (or I just don't feel anything) so they get buried and build up.
It stops me flying into a psychotic rage I suppose.
As for genuine sadness Its not something I can keep track of happen when it happens I guess.

I'm really sorry to hear that!

I have been crying daily since I turned 14.

As someone who bottles up my emotions & thoughts, I cry when I can't hold in my emotions anymore. I avoid talking about my troubles or crying in front of my family & friends, so that does lead to an effect on my relationship with them. But as soon as I cry, I hyperventilate and it takes me about 30 minutes ~ 1 hour to calm down.
So I try to avoid crying

I think it gets like that a lot when you become conditioned to trying to keep the feelings in. Do you have anyone around you who you feel more comfortable being open with more frequently? Iโm really sorry you feel this way and then have the difficult moments when itโs so hard to calm down.
-
Thank you for your kindness, I really appreciate it
As for finding someone to talk to about my troubles, I have no around that I feel comfortable enough to share anything. Recently I went to go get a physical for high school, and I had to fill out a mental forum as well. My doctor thought that it would be best if I went to go see a therapist, but I know that I won't.

I can understand that Sara. Holding emotions in can be beneficial in the time being, but as you stated, it can really effect the relationship with people closest to you. Iโm so incredibly sorry it takes a while for you to calm down. Itโs completely understandable though! Hence the fact that you hold in your emotions a lot, when you finally let them all out, it can be pretty overwhelming and I get that! Thatโs happened to me once, and itโs really difficult to calm yourself. I just want you to know that I completely get it, and if you ever need to talk about anything Iโm always willing to listen

Your words of comfort mean a lot

Itโs really hard to get over that hurdle (I know this very well...)
Hey, seriously, if you ever want a non-judgemental old hag sounding board, Iโm here. Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to someone who has that distance from your offline life. No pressure, though, obviously. ๐
