To be honest, I don't really like it. I had a feeling I wouldn't based on the snippet I heard, so my intuition was right unfortunately.
I'll add that this sounds nothing like "Bang Bang" by Nancy Sinatra, so I'm not sure if giving her the sampling credit was necessary. Starship probably wanted to play it safe.
If anything, it reminds me more of "Savage" by Megan Thee Stallion, especially the hook of that song:

Yup, it sounds like that mixed with "JUMP" by BLACKPINK.
But that's not a bad thing.
This one just feels incomplete somehow, but maybe that's why it's a pre-release single. IVE is still one of my favorite groups, and I still have high hopes for the full release.

i respect your opinion but i still think bang bang is not the same level with drama period.
and the "talk-singing" in drama only in the beginning of the song, you can clearly hear proper melody, high notes and everything started from the middle towards the end of the song, something that bang bang obviously doesn't have.

I hate EDM and there are only like 5 people who can make me listen to the shittiest genre ever created more than once, and "Bang Bang" is the prime example why I hate this type of "music". It's boring especially if you're not drunk as hell.🤣
Starship is proving my point day by day how much they don't care about IVE anymore. 9 writers and 5 composers for the most basic EDM music and lyrics you can find. It's basically money laundering at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Startship is the next one to be accused of tax evasion.😂
